If zero was a choice, I would have chosen it. Firstly, the rooms are so hot that no one in my party could sleep or stay in the room for long periods of time. Even with the AC turned to low, it was unbearable.
Secondly, the food was God-awful. The breakfast was absolutely disgusting. Flies sat on all the pastries, and the eggs were gross. There were no other options to eat at all.
Early in the morning, staff comes to take your used towels away, and you don’t get new ones for hours.
The location is also just ridiculous. The coolest place to hang out near our hotel is the McDonald’s across the street. If you want to see cool cultural things in the city, avoid!
Everything was dirty, and I now I hate Fez.

The hotel was very good and viby and the food was soo delicious it was business trip but the stuff made it very comfortable and I wanna thank amine the receptionist guy he helped us a lot with our luggage and also our paperwork without mentioning his warmth smile and his excellent service
I just love it here...very nice service... excellent view...I highly recommend it...I came here first time with friends, then I had to come back because I liked the vibs and they are open till late..if you are in fez ..go check it out..you will enjoy the moment
Personally, I really enjoyed my time at Hotel Menzeh Zalagh and I would return here again, both on my own and with my family. The hotel itself is beautifully furnished and decorated - it has a Moroccan flair with Western touches which is a perfect mix for those who want to explore a new culture while still enjoying familiar comforts.
My room was comfortable and clean, and all the linen smelt fresh. The mini fridge was 100% a God-send and the desk/vanity was also really nice to use for both my skincare routine and catching up on some work emails. Furthermore, the balcony area of the room is a really nice touch - for bird lovers especially, the balcony is a good place for birdwatching and enjoying their morning song.
The breakfast service here is lovely and guests can enjoy a mixture of different foods. I personally enjoyed the yoghurt, and the grilled tomatoes complement the scrambled eggs nicely. Most importantly I want to highlight the lovely staff at the hotel. Whether it was at the restaurant, reception or concierge service, all the staff with whom I spoke were amazing. They were kind and helpful and they made me feel really welcome. I am grateful to say that I had a very positive experience here.
The outside property of the hotel is beautiful. The surrounding area looks terrible. The rooms have balconies facing the pool or garden view. My room was okay. The rooms could stand some improvements and better housekeeping. The location did have transportation.
We stayed only 1 night with a group and shocked by the rudeness of the restaurant staff and incredibly noisy room with no hot water😡😡😡 It was the worst 4 * hotel I had been, and does not deserve even one star !!! I dont recommend this hotel to anyone if you do not want to ruin your holiday, will definitely inform our tour company to prevent further nightmares !
Basic Clean Accommodation , Poor Services , Poor Directional Signage & Sense of Guest’s security & Buffet Food & Service quality ( dinner and bfast ) a total disaster.
The climate control in the room was malfunctioned and the wifi provided - a waste of time.
Never again! Take your money somewhere else. They are SO Disrespectful to play music on highest level from the bar, right under the bedrooms until 3am everyday. Shame on you. Poor breakfast and unproffesional staff who never say hello. Only those in reception are okay. The room smelled strong from new painting of doors. I think the only thing good about this hotel is the location and the pool area. 1 min walk from the big mall and grocery store and restaurants. I will never come back.
Bad service, check in took way longer than it should. They will nickel and dime you...charge you a bunch of extra fees for silly things. I could have found a better hotel for less money, and in a better location.
Rooms lock you out. Water stops working and lights go out. WiFi reception is non existent in rooms. Breakfast and dinner poor.
This property well positioned over the hill grate view. My reservation didn’t reach the front desk all day long , l called Expedia twice 40 minutes each time until late that day, Water very slow in bathroom, shower, and faucet , breakfast terrible. I had upset stomach that day because the taste of the coffee and the tea .
Menzeh Zalagh had extremely comfortable rooms, OK (not great) Wifi connection, a beautiful garden and pool area, and various options for food and wine/beer. It is in the Ville Nouvelle, so definitely not a riad in the Medina if that is what you are looking for. Food, beer, and wine were available most of the time--to fit your schedule--and OK for a Western-oriented hotel. We ate a lot of pizza! There are beer specials every night. The pool is beautiful and refreshing, although the lack of rules could have teens cannonballing onto you while you are swimming laps. Our biggest negative involved breakfast. It was always the same (Berber cakes, hard-boiled eggs, roasted tomatoes and potates, olives, 6 kinds of puff pastry, and cucumbers and tomatoes. NO fresh fruit or even dates, ever. No yogurt. Nescafe coffee. I was so tired of this after a week and a half that I wanted to cry--or at least go somewhere else despite having paid for breakfast through my room rate. The next negative involved the tour guide who alway hung out by the front desk and pestered us about tours. He was always ready to jump on us when we were going in and out.
So, two negatives among a host of good features. It is also only a couple of blocks from the huge Borj Fes mall if you want to get some fresh fruit and yogurt and the Carrefour supermarket (I did) or peruse the liquor store (did that, too).
