Fireplace was alright, but could hardly see it from how low and where the bed was. Kind of interesting to see boats coming and going from the harbor, but I'd rather be closer to the water/hear waves. If you really like seeing boats and sleep ONLY on your back and are deaf, maybe you'll have a good time.
Bed was horrible. Both me and my GF woke up in the middle of the night with terrible pain in shoulders/hips(we are both side sleepers), which is truly saying something because we went to sleep exhausted and should have slept through the night. Bed is super low to the ground and crazy squeaky/rickety. The metal-pipe frame was completely unstable. It felt like a broken kid's bed or a matress from a camper van that was abandoned by a river.
Breakfast was a joke. Homemade granola that was over-roasted and somewhat bitter due to such, wrapped in wax paper bags. Apples. Oranges. Milk and Oat milk. I've seen better free breakfasts at a significantly lower price-point than this place.
Water tasted like it came from the bottom of a chlorine filled public pool. The walls are paper thin, and you can hear EVERYTHING from other rooms/hallway....etc. I'm not just talking about people being loud. You can hear people just existing in other rooms(slight cough, walking, faucets running, etc.) Location is odd. For the price point, I felt like I was got scammed. I've stayed in much more comfortable locations for far less.
Amazing atmosphere, friendly staff, came in a little late so I couldn't purchase a sweatshirt. Didn't get to experience the breakfast
The view, the comfort and location.
Breakfasts were always disappointing. There were no melons or fresh-cut fruit, as promised - just mostly apples.
Sometimes those weren’t put out on time and by the time we came down, fruit was always gone. Granola was fabulous!!
The lock on our room was very tricky to work and we had to try numerous times to get it locked when we left room.
One of the staff seemed perturbed when we asked about the laundry services or getting some fruit at breakfast.
The fireplace in the room was nice...as was the balcony looking out at the docks.
There is no coffee available, even make your own, until 8AM.
In our case, things were bad because we didn't realize that if we didn't have a handicapped room it meant we would be on the second floor which was very difficult for my wife.
There are no cable news channels on the TV...at least we couldn't find them.
The fitness room is very limited.
There is no one on site after 5PM.
Jake at reception was above and beyond! Kind and accommodating!
It is a cross between a youth hostel and motel with a view of the harbor. Very simple with a large main floor central front room type area that is light and very comfortable along with a deck. However, most rooms are on different floors with no elevator so schlepping suitcases on stairs is required. It does employ sustainability practices. Staff was really helpful but leaves at 6:00 returning next morning. Breakfast was delicious granola, with milk, coffee, apples and oranges.
Bed blankets are light. Coffee is available only at 8:00 with no coffee makers in the rooms.
Seemed recently renovated and had an open and airy feel. Loved the gas fireplace in the room. Friendly and helpful staff.
The breakfast was a little sparse.
This place was amazing 🤩 a must stay!
That it was clean and allowed our little dog.
There wasn't a comfortable chair in the room, or bed and not blankets on bed. NO ONE MAKES UP THE ROOM EACH or checks the soap levels. You are expected to put your towels in the laundry. Great for yuppie but very minimal for old folks
Staff and location were great. Very dog friendly.
Sadly breakfast wasn’t until 8 and us, like most travelers were already on the road ( a little hungry!)
Excellent EXCEPT WiFi is very Slow.
Overall great experience
Nice location, great sustainability concept.
Uncomfortable and saggy bed.
Quiet location. No elevators. Staff was friendly. Clean room. Leaking sewer gas in room problem was addressed quickly.
