Timeless hotel set in beautiful nature.
Pros:

What makes Hotel Sacacomie such an incredible place is without a doubt the beautiful setting: the lake, the woods, the charming log buildings, etc... Secondly, if you take the full package, the meals which are included are memorable! You will not go hungry! We enjoyed the warm atmosphere in the lobby and the dining-area, with the big stone fireplaces, the many activities provided, inside and outside, and the friendly and helpful staff. We were there in winter, a season which I generally do not like much, but hiking through the woods, on the numerous paths that meander through the property, made me fall in love with the season. It was nothing less than magical... We have decided to come back to the hotel but this time in the summer or fall so that we can enjoy canoeing on the lake, another activity which looks very inviting at Hotel Sacacomie. A beautiful hotel for nature lovers and those seeking a true Quebecois experience.

It has lost it's charm
Pros:

I have been to the hotel for at least 4 times and this last time time was not a good experience as it used to be. I was in room 303 and the shower in the main room has broken door and hot water was not hot. For lunch, I ordered one of my favorite the salad with smoke trout St-Alexis-des-Monts but they ran out. I took it anyway with smoke salmon. The salad was not fresh. As for the breakfast, it has less selections that it used to and it did not match the price tag.

Warm, cosy, noisy
Pros:

Great location, friendly staff, good enough breakfast, quality dinner.
The walls are thin and we could hear normal voiced conversations and other activities.
Booking over the weekend brought an extra fee which was a surprise.
The balcony was a little expensive, considering the weather, and the absence of furniture to allow us to enjoy the outsides in the colder weather.

Fabulous
Pros:

I was concerned about staying here after reading the reviews but it was amazing! Lovely old wooden building. We had room with a balcony and lake view and it was fabulous. No TV or air conditioning but that really doesn’t matter, lots of things to do, bar, games rooms, lots of activities. Fridge in the room. Do bring insect repellent if you decide to sleep with the balcony doors open. Dining room very good. We had a lovely relaxing time.

Charmant und einzigartig von aussen
Pros:

Relaxing hotel with great view from restaurant terrace
Pros:

We discovered Sacacomie Hotel because of Forfait Quebec and got an amazing deal for two nights accommodations, activities, and access to the spa.
However, the standard room does not have a balcony and there is no outside space to hang out after the sun starts to set aside from the restaurant terrace. We felt a bit confined, but luckily we were authorized to sit closer to the bar area of the terrace to play our board games without having to order anything.
There was no air conditioning either. We could not leave the window open because our hotel room was located above a gaming room which had open windows. We could hear people playing shuffle board on both nights we were there. A fan was provided at least. To be honest, it was still hard to fall asleep and get a good night's rest.
We were surprised no mini refrigerator was found in the room either. The hotel restaurant only had buffet breakfast and fine dining; no snacks or quick meals to bring on hikes or the beach, so it was weird that we had nowhere to keep the food we brought cool.
We did not do much hiking but several trails are available. At night, paths that lead to parking lots are lit up if you need to go to your car. Its in a secluded area though, so I don't really recommend going into town and back at night because of the winding roads and hills.
During the day, the private beach is beautiful and you can go canoeing, kayaking, or paddle boarding for free, so take advantage.
You have to pay for the motorboats or other activities and they book very fast!
Our package included archery and axe throwing. No spots were available our first or second day there. We were lucky to get a spot the day we were leaving. A quick training is provided for those fun activities so no experience is necessary.
Despite our minor issues we had a great time. I was even able to enjoy good meals for dinner at the restaurant since the chef was very accommodating to my food intolerance. Brunch was delicious too. A lot of things to chose!
I would recommend this hotel for a two night couple's getaway if you enjoy hiking, boating, going to the spa, and don't mind splurging on dinning.

Pros:

Great view and amazing location. However, the food is really average and pricy for what it is . The pool really needs an uplift and to have access to the spa pools (which are nicer), they asked you to pay a daily spa fee 40$+. The rooms do not have A/C. The bellboy(sir) and the gentleman for the water activities are amazing but the rest of the staff needs some training on customer service.

Pros:

Service should be improved as well as the property needs maintenance

Slow services (check in , out, room ready only at 16:00), motor boat rental close at 15:00 (even if boat was available), and lost electricity (due to weather reason - not their fault), therefore breakfast minimal but zero discount

Sacacomie
Pros:

The location is exceptional, with a magnificent view of the lake.
The beach is very beautiful, and the spa also offers a magnificent view.
However, the rooms are a bit outdated and not very well maintained (moldy mattresses). There is no air conditioning, so it is stifling at night.
The major weakness: the quality of the food. Pastries unworthy of a restaurant, poorly prepared dishes, etc. A real disappointment.

Couple getaway
Pros:

Beautiful hotel and location . However for the price you pay, we found the installations lacking , like really not enough chairs on the beach, no umbrella , we stayed 2 nights and could not get a spot for massage . Also, another major issue was the noisy rooms and noisy service pick up trucks. They gave us a room close to the reception on the 1st floor and could not sleep before easily midnight due to all différent noises from upper floor steps to elevator shaft and pick up trucks. There is a lot of potential that is not developed and it is a disappointment for such a lovely place and for the price you pay that you cannot 1- have a decent night sleep and 2- take advantage of their installations

Truly relaxing escape
Pros:

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of July (family of 4 with 2 teenagers 15 & 18yrs old) and booked a lake view room. I’m not sure how much we paid as it was part of a two week holiday package so I can’t comment on value for money but we loved every minute of our time here and wished we could have stayed longer.

I was worried about some of the reviews but the things that people seem to have a problem with I could overlook. It was actually really nice to get away from air con, it was peaceful and good to properly acclimatise. Our room was boiling hot when we arrived mid afternoon but by the evening it had cooled down and overnight we left the balcony doors open with the mosquito screen closed which was comfortable. This place isn’t modern but it’s got rustic, ski lodge vibes that are welcoming and homely.

The spa is beautiful and so relaxing and inclusive. It’s open to over 14’s and our kids loved it. Spellbinding views over the lake. We had dinner vouchers included in our package and I’m glad we did because the food was simple but delicious.
On the second day we walked down to the lake and took advantage of the complimentary kayaks and canoes which are included in your stay. Paddle boards are also included and towels are provided.

In summary if you’re a relaxed traveler who enjoys simple, rustic luxury, this is the place for you. Take a good book, some midge spray and enjoy!

Need to be updated
Pros:

Place Nice,Lake amazing but standard rooms in front of the kitchen very noisy and not so comfortable no tv at night, tiny old bathroom . Needs to be updated or less expensive, food is not great at all! Service and presentation is good but the taste is a total 3/10.
