Mr. Ashok from the fourth floor received us well and maintained the room well daily to our satisfaction. We stayed in room 431.
Great hospitality from the team. Food was good, both buffet and a la carte. Shankey from room service was very helpful with food / water needs.
Package delivered appreciate.
Good cab service.
Jiya was really wand help us feel at home.
stayed last week with my family and had a really pleasant experience overall. The property itself is beautiful and very well maintained, but what made the stay even better was the hospitality of the staff.
During breakfast service, I was assisted by Indu. She was extremely polite, attentive, and made sure everything was comfortable for the guests. She guided us through the breakfast options, checked in at the right moments without being intrusive, and handled everything very professionally.
A small gestures like remembering requests and making sure the table was perfectly taken care of really show the difference between regular service and great hospitality.
Her warm and calm attitude made the breakfast
We stayed 2 nights and can’t fault the hotel. The breakfast was lovely and staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We had take away breakfast 1 morning which was very good and plenty choice. The location is great too and overall value for money.
It is a 4-star hotel, with a great team. Staff & management are very helpful, very customer-oriented.
The menu is quite Indian food but if you do not like spicy food, the Chef is ready to comply with your request.
We stayed at The Metropolitan Hotel & Spa for three nights from December 28th as a family at the start of our India trip.
The hotel feels like it would have been a top-tier luxury property 10–15 years ago. While the rooms and décor are now slightly dated, everything was very clean and well maintained. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, genuinely some of the best sleep we had during our travels.
Breakfast was a real highlight. It was probably the strongest breakfast offering of our entire India trip. The buffet had an excellent variety of both Indian and international options, plenty of fresh choices, and everything was well replenished. A great way to start busy sightseeing days.
We booked a triple room for our children, and this was one of the few hotels where the room was fully and properly set up in advance. That small detail made a big difference after a long journey.
Location is another strong point — close to Connaught Place and very convenient for exploring Delhi.
A few minor negatives:
No European plug sockets in the room (most other hotels we stayed in offered multi-country sockets).
Wi-Fi is limited to two devices per room, and the cost to add additional devices felt unnecessarily high.
Drinks within the hotel (tea/coffee) were surprisingly expensive — more than we would typically pay in Europe.
Overall, it was a very good stay and a strong introduction to Delhi. Comfortable, well located, and with an outstanding breakfast. We would happily return.
We had a very pleasant stay at the Metropolitan Hotel. Staff especially are very attentive and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable with nice bathrooms and a great shower. The restaurant was very nice with a good breakfast. The only thing I would say is that the hotel needs to be redone. As it is it is, the interior is rather run down, so that it feels more like a 3-4 star hotel. Good location.
Well, they always say that first impressions count so here we go.
Walking into reception, the hotel seems spacious and airy. Staff at reception are friendly and offered a welcome drink. Checkin was smooth. The smoggy Delhi air smell seems to linger into the hotel and indeed into the rooms.
We were escorted to our room on the third floor and upon arrival, we were greeted with gushing water through our shower room drain (obviously from another room).
We were readily moved to the forth floor. So here are details of the room. The room seems very outdated with the mirrors that have lost their shine. The tiling workmanship is shoddy. The toilet makes the most unusual noise when the cistern is filling ( will try to upload the video if it works). The carpet can do with a clean.
There is only one gown for the two of us.
The safe was stuck in the closed position but open though this was fixed after my second phone call the reception.
We also seem to have lost tge plate of fruit that was in the first room.
More to follow
I visited at a very busy event time when all hotel rates were ridiculous, so can't complain about how much I paid for the basic room. The decor is also old; I would rate 3 star.
The hotel is a bit old and basic, with basic breakfast.
The location is great, just the next lane to metro and the Gurudwara and 12 mins from Connaught Place.
Staff is also very warm and welcoming and always available to help.
If you are wanting a 5* experience, DO NOT book this hotel. It is anything but 5*! I travel extensively and have stayed at many hotels throughout. As i wanted to be nearer to Bangla sahib Gurudwara i thought of booking this place as it showed 5* too. What i disappointment from the offset.
No one to help me with my luggage to my room. The room had a smell. it was average, certainly not 5* As I had booked a "club room" for the next 3 days I aske them to change but apparently the club rooms are the same as normal rooms, so don't fall for the gimmick.
The iron in the room scorched my clothes and the management ignored my emails. What hospitality that is. there re plenty better stays in the area that are actually 5* and accommodate you to have a good stay.
Shankey from housekeeping was very kind, and kept our room very clean.
Stayed at this hotel at the start of a tour.
We had a great meal in Chutney (beautifully flavoured vegetable biryani) with excellent service.
Breakfast was adequate albeit a bit chaotic however granted that this is a busy city centre hotel.
Bedroom was functional but decor was a little dated.
Hotel was functional as we were doing a tour of India. was and dated. Although the rooms are dated, it had clean Bed linen and towels. The buffet food was very good, plenty of choice and tasty food. Service in the restaurant was a bit chaotic however one thing all the team working at the hotel very friendly and helpful.
We stayed two night doing all the sites which are all easy in a car from the hotel. The metro is also close by. The room was clean spacious and had all the facilities and toiletries as well as tea and coffee we needed. The staff were friendly and breakfast was good with plenty of choice and quick service for eggs etc. we walked to Conought place which is good for shopping and we found a nice Biryiani restaurant to eat. Even though the hotel is on a busy road (as all hotels in Delhi are) on the 5 floor we had no issues with noise. The hotel had a business feel about it and lots of tour guests as well as conference guests. A good hotel to stay in
We stayed here at the beginning and end of our golden triangle tour. The hotel is clean and the staff are very welcoming. The spa is lovely. We were particularly impressed by how well labelled the food was in the Zing restaurant ( vegan clearly labelled) there was also a very good selection of vegan food on the buffet (there was also a vegan menu, although they didn't have everything that was on it!) The restaurant manager Haredndra Singh was very helpful.
I had a great stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The cleaner for our room Nanak Rathor did an excellent job very respectful and helpful. My room was spotlessly clean. Thanks so much Nanuk.
Excellent room service , very good dinner & bearkfast, excellent housekeeping

The WiFi is pathetically slow. The basic speed is 2mbps/sec. For a higher speed they charge extra. There is an event going on in the grounds and music will be playing till 11:00 PM. They claim to be a 5 star hotel! Really?
This is definitely not a 5-star hote*. Please stay away if you are looking for a genuine 5-star experience.
The basic infrastructure itself is deeply flawed — the flush was not working properly, and after taking a shower the entire bathroom gets flooded, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel claiming to be in the luxury category.
The gym is minuscule and pathetic, nowhere close to what one would expect from a premium property. Overall maintenance and attention to detail are extremely poor.
It is quite clear that the hotel is over-hyping its rating purely because of its proximity to Connaught Place and is trying to take undue advantage of the location by *charging an unreasonably high tariff*. Unfortunately, the service and facilities do not justify the price at all.
If you value comfort, quality, and a true 5-star standard, this is not the place for you.
