Really great hotel went above and beyond.
Pros:

Comfortable, happy with our 6 nights overall, could be a few small improvements to make it perfect
Pros:

Lovely setting, nice views out the back, just about enough parking, easy access from car to the room. Within 5 minute walk of shops, restaurants, bars etc, lots of choice in the area, all good food nearby. The room was lovely, very comfortable and spacious for our 6 night stay. The room was re stocked well with our requests on the room card each morning with biscuits, tea, coffee, mint cakes etc. Decent size tv, nice small walk in wardrobe, good shower, sofa.

Cons:

Breakfast window was far too short 8:30-10. We wanted to go out quite early in the mornings and there was no take away breakfast allowed even tho we’d paid for breakfasts included, quality on the morning we did have it was disappointing compared to what we expected from reading reviews, we also felt rushed so they could get cleared away well before 9:30am. Strangely the restaurant only did breakfast and not dinner. Staff were not overly happy or helpful. The outside seating with views out back was always locked even though it was peak summer season. Room had no air conditioning.

The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was well equipped and had a nice shower. The terrace had a nice view.

Cons:

Some good and some bad customer service. We arrived earlier than the check-in time. We were asked to come back back later. We asked if we could leave our luggage and we were told that the hotel can't store our luggage. If we decided to leave the luggage, it would have been left close to the reception area and we were told that the hotel would not have taken any responsibility if something happened to it. There was no attempt to help or welcome the guest.
The room was spacious but did not have air conditioning and looked onto the car park.

A brilliant stay!
Pros:

It was modern and a good position in relation to restaurants. Their homemade cookies are to die for!! The breakfast is delicious and the staff was helpful.

Cons:

In our room, the bed was too close to the door.

My booking was cancelled on the very day of my arrival, despite my details having been provided through Booking.com. I proactively tried to call the hotel to sort out my payment details, but received no response. After a single missed call from them at 7:52am, my reservation was cancelled without any further attempt to reach me.

First class hotel
Pros:

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was beautiful and the views from it stunning. The breakfast was exceptional and although a buffet it felt very calm and peaceful. The location meant a very wuick walk into Bowness but you could also walk into Windermere. We have decided we will definitely come back!

Birthday treat
Pros:

Came home yesterday from our little break here,absolutely gorgeous hotel,staff very friendly.My hubby booked this for my birthday we stayed in the lady of the manor room it was beautiful with stunning views of the lakes,breakfast delicious with plenty of choice i would highly recommend this hotel & would definitely return
