Lovely location, especially if you need a ferry ride.
Pros:

I loved everything about this stay, the eclectic past, the transition to modern, the comfortable, clean rooms and the home feel.

It was a great stay at Home hotel! Very professional greet at the reception at check-in, super comfy bed, very good noise insulation from outside therefore a good quality sleep after a tiring day. Great connction with city centre by tram (tram stop just outside the hotel). Included dinner was a cherry on top! Absolutely recommended!

Posizione super centrale, possibilità di lasciare i bagagli sia all’arrivo che alla partenza, cena e colazione super rifornite e di qualità molto alta.

Pros:

I stayed here for the second time after it was renovated and they definitely did a good job with the renovation. No more bad smell in the corridors. The rooms and the interior of the prison got a nice new coat. Absolutely appreciated the fika and the dinner.

Cons:

Nothing major to complain about just some small things like a broken/wobbly toilette seat and the fact that not all rooms have windows that can be opened. All in all though very happy with our stay and if we visit Helsinki again would be happy to stay for a third time.

Pros:

Nos gusto el hecho que era una cárcel. Está muy bien ambientado. Las habitaciones son amplias y el baño tambien. Desayuno muy completo.

Cons:

La cena fue justa y no habia postres. En el desayuno falta leche caliente aunque si lo pides, te la calientan.

A strong recommendation for my side! Unique hotel! Go for it!
Pros:

Fantastic hotel in Helsinki. It’s absolutely unique experience to stay there. Very friendly and professional personnel . Extraordinary building to stay. Modern and clean. Tram stop right in front of the hotel that brings you to the city centre in less than five minutes. Tasty breakfast, big variety to choose from.. They also offer free dinner. Very comfortable and well designed room with all necessary amenities.

Cons:

There is nothing to complain about.

Great option for affordable lodging in a historic building
Pros:

Nice use of space. Stylish, modern, comfortable and spacious. It felt historic but also modern and fun.

Cons:

Both breakfast and dinner were very mediocre. Pretty bad, in fact. Some of the furniture is looking a bit tired at the edges, but that is a minor issue. I suspect other rooms were in better condition.
