Stay at Kingsbury Colombo
Pros:

The hotel was very beautiful and the staff were really kind and welcoming. We tried foods from some of the restaurants all were good with great service. The skylounge was the perfect spot to view the most beautiful sunset with amazing atmosphere.

Amazing food and staff..especially Kalana and Hareem from the reception.
Pros:

Hotel rooms were average,however the staff and service was really good..special thanks to Kalana from the reception who was very professional, polite and kind..he was very pleasant and was very accommodating of our needs. Also special thanks to Hareem who assisted us and ensuring that our stay was comfortable and pleasant.also the food is amazing..

Great experience at the hotel
Pros:

Overall experience was ok at the hotel, buffet was great and the room too.

Cons:

Should have a sink area inside the Buffett so we don’t have to go outside and use the restroom to wash our hands.

Pros:

Staff, food and room was excellent. Maintenance being carried out during the night on 2 of our 3 day stay woke me on 4 occasions. The manager did give us compensation for this but a good night's sleep would have been appreciated. I would return but with some reservations.

Cons:

The noise at night and not enough info about the facilities the hotel had on offer. Eg restaurants, roof top bar and special Sunday carvery.

Mic dejun tip bufet foarte bun.
Camera frumoasa si curata.
Locatie excelenta.

Cons:

Destul de mult zgomot de fond de la diverse echipamente in functiune, pentru camera amplasata pe spate (spre piscina), deranjant mai ales noaptea.

It was clean and had a beautiful ocean view.

Cons:

Very partial treatment by the staff at the pool bar. No one came to take our order. It was practically empty except for another table. They only went over to that table and totally ignored us. We had to go to the counter to order and took the drinks from them. No service 😒 We are Tamils from Singapore.

It was a great experience staying at Kingsbury Colombo, for the price, you can’t beat it.
Pros:

The location of the establishment is excellent. Very close proximity to Ministry of Crab restaurant, which we enjoyed very much.

Cons:

The rooms and more specifically the bathrooms are smaller than the average size I am accustomed to, and the shower is a bit confusing on how to use it. I stayed on the executive floor hoping that the room would be bigger.

Disappointing - can’t recommend

Disappointing stay
Visited Colombo 8 times and sadly Kingsbury worst hotel. Tired and shabby. Poolside was akin to a club 18-30 facility with blaring music. Had to ask twice for it to be turned down. A tranquil relaxing spot it was not and if you read the room most people were clearly not interested in the blaring music. Room we eventually got after they claimed they could not provide a twin despite confirming it in writing was very poor. One night/day it had a horrid smell of cigarette smoke even tho we had requested non smoking. Staff who came said it often happened and just sprayed air freshener. Note to Kingsbury owners - refresh/renovate the hotel and bring it back to its former glory. It’s definitely lost that and you can’t live on the past reputation. On the whole a disappointing stay
