Cons:

Have to contact frontdesk twice to make extra quilt ready for use on the first day. That's the only incident we experience during the stay.

Pros:

Wonderful location, perfect service.
There was always someone helpful around who was fluent in English, so don’t worry if you don’t speak Chinese very well.
The hotel is beautifully designed and somewhat reminiscent of I. M. Pei's Suzhou Museum, which draws on historical structures. Right next door is the beautiful park.

Customer Service Needs to Improve
Cons:

Adequate hotel, but staff attitude let it down. The location is fine and the room was clean, but I was really put off by the inflexibility regarding upgrades. In my experience, many hotels will at least offer a paid upgrade if available, or handle the request with a smile. Here, the staff member seemed almost offended by the question and shut it down immediately without any discussion. It wasn't the request that was the problem, but the attitude in delivering the 'no'. A little courtesy and willingness to help would have gone a long way.

Absolut empfehlenswert!
Pros:

Es war unser erster Besuch in Suzhou und wir sind sehr glücklich über die Wahl des Hotels. Die Anlage ist wunderschön, gut gelegen und trotz des Alters gut gepflegt. Unser Zimmer war geräumig (wenn auch leider bereits etwas abgenutzt) und bot genug Platz für uns. Der angeschlossene Park ist zu jeder Zeit einen Besuch wert, aber am Abend durch die Lichter besonders empfehlenswert. Alle im Hotel befindlichen Restaurants sind köstlich, uns gefielen vor allem das Noodles Restaurant und das Hauptrestaurant, das ein sehr üppiges Frühstück bietet.
Das Personal war freundlich, diskret und immer darauf bedacht eine einwandfreie Kommunikation zu bieten.

Pros:

The scenery, the garden is really big with guests to travel down and interact with some events. The area was really beautiful and the location is nearby to many areas. Ordering cars is very easy.

Cons:

Inside the rooms, the hallway sounds can be heard quite loudly and the hallway smells like cigarettes.
