We had a great experience and stay in this beautiful hotel! It gave a sense of calmness and relief.
Pros:

It was an attraction on its own, and had a great ambiance to experience the culture.

Cons:

To most of the attractions, it was easier to hire DIDI (uber rides) than to get public transports (bus/trains).
Not as convenient, but that’s the least of our concern.

Pros:

L’hôtel est très bien , propre . L’emménagement du jardin et le petit déjeuner sont exceptionnels. Le côté bonus, c’est que panmen scénic area est limitrophe à l’hôtel et que les clients de l’hôtel bénéficient l’entrée gratuite à ce parc. C’est un parc magnique à couper le souffle.

Pros:

The hotel is just wonderful and amazing. It is so cool that the pan men scenic area can be visited for free and on top in summer there are even night shows to watch.

Beautiful hotel that impressed my family
Pros:

The location was great. The architecture and Suzhou-style gardens within the hotel grounds were impressive.

Great location and classic building
Pros:

The hotel is a classic building with multiple wings. The rooms have a great views across the gardens and were spacious and comfortable. The staff were mixed in terms of being helpful - something we found common in China over the past few years. However mostly they were friendly. Breakfasts were busy but quite a good selection of food. Best feature was the Sun Ray Italian restaurant - not run by the hotel - but wonderful dinners. The large gardens out the back are well worth walking around and are a feature of the hotel.

Cons:

The indoor pool was not appealing and really not usable given it seemed to constantly have swimming lessons happening. Internet was okay but the restrictions on the access to sites seemed worse here than at other hotels.

Fabulous, fantastic and make our tour in Suzhou memorable.
Pros:

The hotel is clean and nice, and the room is big. Many facilities including laundry services. Best part I like is the tourist attraction “Pan Garden” at the back of the hotel which is free entry if you are staying at the hotel. And there is fabulous light show of the pagoda. I would come again to stay.

Nice place for a visit to Suzhou!

I love the architecture. It feels like living in a palace. Great location in Gusu. Quiet.

Cons:

The pool needs some upkeep and some of the rooms have not yet been refurbished. Definitely aged.

This is a truly unique hotel that offers a rich historical and cultural atmosphere. The suite, complete with a kitchenette, provides a comfortable and home-like stay. The beautifully maintained gardens and historic surroundings are fascinating to explore and add greatly to the overall experience. The complimentary self-service laundry facilities are also a valuable convenience.

The buffet breakfast offers a good variety of both Chinese and Western dishes, along with several local specialties, providing guests with an enjoyable and well-rounded dining experience.

Cons:

It is a big surrounding and a lot of garden areas. However some areas/buildings may need refreshing to enhance ever better experiences
