Hotel itself is large and very nice. Lots of amenities like a kids play area, laundry, and access to the Panmen garden. Room was spacious and clean.
Limited wi-fi reach and for some reason, our AC wasn’t working inside the room.
Beautiful hotel in a prime location. Friendly and helpful staff. 美丽的酒店。位置优越。店员非常友好。Martin 丁,在大堂的讲解,对苏州和酒店的介绍都非常详细、精彩。Hotel greets my mum with a beautiful birthday cake 🎂😊. Thank you.
Mr He 何立军,always greets us with a warm smile. He works diligently and very friendly. Keep smile, Mr He. 总是以温暖的笑容问候我们,给我们带来如家的感觉。他工作认真、负责,房间清理的好。 贵酒店会因以有何先生这样的职工为荣。
Balcony (facing nice water feature) - essential in such climate to relax after a day of sightseeing with a glass of wine (although such an idea has been really promoted by the hotel’s management, see below).
Hotel next to a beautiful “scenic area” and integrated into city walls, close to the canal.
No balcony furniture provided (squeezing a chair to sit there has been a challenge). But we know al fresco living/dining/drinking isn’t the local thing.
There was nowhere to eat a meal around the hotel on Sunday afternoon. Had to go to the neighbouring hotel, where they had primarily lobsters (to be consumed in a dingy cellar, of course).
The outdoor swimming pool was to be open des from June to October but it was still being cleaned on 1-2 June. It would be very welcomed proposition, given the scorching heat.
The hotel’s garden-style scenery
The TV signal is very poor.
The hotel is very pretty, the view of the hotel is excellent
Nice hotel architecture with its beautiful gardens.
Our room booking came with a complimentary Hanfu Experience which enticed us to sign up for a full photography + hair & makeup service with the Wu Palace Hanfu Experience Center. Was a highlight of our trip with our toddler also getting to don a little hanfu outfit. The photographer was top notch, directing us with poses and bringing us to the beautiful locations within the hotel grounds as well as the adjoining Panmen scenic area. Super efficient services with us getting all the edited photos in our mailbox in just a few hours. Highly recommend!
Large, historical hotel property next to one of Suzhou’s must see historical sights.
Given it’s a large hotel, noise level is excessive particularly in the lobby. It’s getting a bit dated which needs refurbishment. Cleaning staff needs to be more attentive, for example, there were dust and hairs behind washroom’s open door, when it’s closed, one can see the floor was not vacuumed.
Just about everything! The hotel was excellent and by far the most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed at, especially the gardens.
Had trouble getting the Wi-Fi to work.
The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, huge property with a lovely inside yard and adjacent to the lovely Pannem park (especially in the evenings! Everything is lighten up and I even saw a light show projected on the pagoda), which is free for the guests of the hotel. The staff is very nice, the breakfast has a big variety of food but limited on the western side. The rooms are spacious and very well decorated. Everything is super comfy. The hotel is not centrally located, so you'll have to Didi in many places but it was worth it to stay at this hotel
Nothing, everything was great
Perfect place to stay for a family. The beds were so comfortable that I am now going to buy a new bed to match the comfort at home. The bathroom was beautiful with two lovely baths one in each bathroom the kids loved the hotel and gardens it was our favourite place to stay.
This hotel was our favourite place to stay on our trip to China, it is exceptional, absolutely stunning.
