Pros:

The room had finger marks and other visible dirty areas in our hotel room. The breakfast was good. The parking was good. You do get charged $10 for parking. The walk to the beach is super short. This is nice. Overall, I wish the cleaning was better.

We had a frustrating experience booking through Booking.com.
We reserved a stay at Hampton Inn Galveston TX for $191/night, only to later find the same room was available for $132 directly via Hilton and $162 on Agoda.
We immediately requested a price match—but it was denied after providing the proofs to same rooms. Over a 4-night stay, this cost us an extra $250–$300.
Be cautious when booking—always compare prices across platforms before confirming. Price match policies may not work as expected.
