Dated and Grubby
Pros:

The hotel is so dated. The rooms are tatty and grubby, the bathroom fans can’t be turned off and are extremely noisy, the beds are excessively firm and the pillows very thin.
The bar service was slow, despite it not being at all busy.
Breakfast was okay, choice was good and the service was quick enough.

Lovely stay, good room, nice restaurant, good pool and spa
Pros:

Only stayed here one night but would definitely come back. Hotel was clean, room spacious, restaurant food was good for dinner and breakfast, pool was lovely and warm! Also enjoyed the spa

Relaxing City Break
Pros:

Can I take this opportunity to thank the staff very much for their hospitality during my stay 22nd to 24th July 26
I can thoroughly recommend this hotel for its cleanliness and their friendly attitude toward their guests. The spa was a very relaxing place to unwind. The food was excellent with a good choice available at the bar, which as a solo traveller I felt more comfortable in that environment rather than the restaurant.

A really nice well priced hotel but not too good for a continental breakfast
Pros:

Really nice room. We had a free upgrade to a Residency room which was very spacious and comfortable and spotlessly clean.

Cons:

The breakfast was a bit disappointing. It was absolutely fine if you wanted a cooked breakfast but was lacking in choice for a continental breakfast. I would have preferred more high fibre, healthy breakfast cereals and a better choice of fresh fruit. The choice of bread/rolls/pastries was poor.

I highly recommend this hotel
Pros:

Great location. Excellent design and layout. Extremely helpful late check in and daytime staff throughout. In reception, catering, bar and leisure there were no exceptions to a can do and friendly approach.

Breakfast was excellent and location was great just off the M6 so great for going to a lot of places on the west coast ie Blackpool,Morecambe,Southport,Liverpool

We LOVED IT
Pros:

We had the most amazing stay !!!! Even with paying for parking … it was totally worth it ! Thank you so much to the amazing staff !! Especially the guy on the front desk with the cool tattoo on his thumb. We will be back and have had so many messages on social

Great location, but overly Expensive for the level of comfort provided.
Pros:

Convenience of Location. Immediately adjacent to the University is ideal for visiting family engaged in University courses or, as in our case, being in attendance for the final graduation ceremony. Just a short walk onto campus.

Cons:

No AC in the hotel rooms. The temperature in both our booked rooms was excessive and uncomfortable. Windows are wire tethered and impossible to open adequately. We appreciate that the UK has been enjoying a spell of good weather for the last few weeks, but providing a fan doesn't solve the problem, it just turns the room into a Fan oven, instead of an oven. Ability to control temperature is a prerequisite for a hotel star-rating validity. If you don't provide AC, guests can't control the temperature and the Star Rating is inaccurate and invalidated,

Perfect location and generally pleasant but overpriced considering it isn’t ideal for warmer weather

Location was excellent and perfect for attending a graduation ceromony.

Cons:

Peak of summer and no air conditioning or ability to open window more than a crack. Fan provided but was not adequate and just blowing hot air around the room.

No fridge within room which was inconvenient given the warmer weather.

It was clean, good location for visiting the Uni, and the food was great. Friendly staff.
