Great hotel but I had the worst room.
Pros:

The location is fantastic

Cons:

The room was very dark in day time. The covered balcony was not fit for purpose and unsafe to walk on.

Fantastic stay
Pros:

I loved the wooden furniture around the hotel it looked so so beautiful. I loved the staff they were so helpful. I loved the gardens and the room was fantastic!

Cons:

We thought the food in the sally gap was very expensive but we still got it but thought it was very expensive. We thought the sauna was very very small and only 3 people could fit in there at a time cause the other one was out of order.

Rooms and open spaces

Pros:

All the staff are met were really lovely and our spa treatments were excellent

Cons:

Bit disappointed that we did not have our 2 rooms if not beside each other at least on the same floor on the same side of the hotel !
One room was in the 4th floor and the other on the 5th
Not ideal
I would have expected as this is a 5 star hotel that the menu options for breakfast be included in the b&b package ! And finally there is nowhere to sit outside and have a drink and a snack ? Such a pity as the weather during our stay was lovely

Return Guest Won’t be Returning
Pros:

Booked on a Monday night. Something unavoidable came up. I rang the hotel 48 hours out and asked if I could move the booking to a day in the following week or week after. I was told no, no cancellations or amendments. I’d understand if the hotel was full, that wouldn’t be an issue but it was a Monday night and the hotel had availability. I received an email for their Guest relations manager and then a rather dismissive response from the General Manager. The GM provided one of the worst responses I have heard, he said they don’t allow any amendments within 72hours of the stay for the mutual fairness of all guests so essentially if you arrive to Powerscourt after a long flight and a room is ready, you won’t be checked into it, instead you will be left to wait in the lobby until 4pm for the mutual fairness of all guests because check in is at 4pm so you must wait. Ridiculous perspective of a 5 Star hotel manager. Stayed here 4 or 5 times, won’t be staying again.

Very disappointing. Not a 5 Start experience. Wouldn’t rebook an MHL hotel.

Elegance does not cost the Moon and the Stars ✨️
Pros:

A beautiful one night stay. I had a late check in due to another pre booked commitment in Dublin. Quite simply the nicest and most elegant hotel i have ever stayed in. The late check in was seamless and a night cap in the Sally Gap Bar & Grill was a must. Room service was outstanding. Very affordable stay even to those on a modest budget. Elegance does not cost the moon and the stars ✨️ Thank you to all the Powerscourt Hotel team for an amazing stay.

We will definitely be back.

pure luxury
Pros:

We stayed in Powerscourt on good Friday 3rd of April. It was a fantastic stay, the staff are very friendly and polite. They are very willing to help in any way they can to make your stay a pleasant one. We had dinner in the sika Restaurant and it was a dining experience second to none. The food was fabulous and the restaurant staff were very informative and pleasantly engaging.
Breakfast had everything could possibly want to choose from, with a lot of local produce like dinner the evening before, all good quality ingredients.
The rooms are immaculately clean, with large bathroom and huge bedroom and living area with satellite TV and mini bar.
Our only regret with our stay was that we couldn't stay longer. We will definitely go back.
