Great hotel, lovely situation with nice garden and lovely spa facilities. Nice tough that staff upgraded for free. I had a massage whilst there and Ammie was excellent, really made an effort to ensure it met my requirements.
Bathroom was a little grubby and tired
Staff were polite, friendly, and helpful; breakfast was super; room cool and comfortable.
WC, which was separate but accessed through the bathroom, did not have a light of its own - it needed a light independent of the rest of the bathroom.
Das Personal war sehr freundlich
Das Zimmer sollte mal wieder einer gründlichen Reinigung unterzogen werden.
Great location and the garden was a gorgeous
The rooms very very small and boiling! Appreciate we stayed during a heatwave but the AC wasn’t working
Lovely decor and the pool was fabulous on a sunny day. Warm welcome from the reception desk and all staff.
Breakfast service was quite slow
very friendly staff
a/c wasn't working and no parking on site available
Bath was fab
The room was great. And it in tge eves so the eindow above the bed let alot of light in as the covering didn't cover it. So woke up very early.
Staff were incredibly helpful and super friendly!
Clean, beautiful building and gardens and pool
Comfortable beds and nice swimming pool. Good room service.
I was in room 306, a deluxe. Although spacious and well appointed it has an extremely small window, and was a bit claustrophobic feeling.
Lovely place to stay. Catered for our limited mobility. Sage was a particularly good Waiter👍
Beautiful garden, lovely pool, friendly helpful staff, we were upgraded to a suite , the room was light and spacious ,the bed comfortable and the in house shower gels ,shampoos etc were all l'occitane a personal fav, so nice treat.
We enjoyed our meal in the Bistro. The waiting staff were solicitous and knowledgeable.
Sadly it was the May '26 heatwave the hotel's Aircon wasn't working and the duvet was quite heavy for the summer. Whilst under normal circumstances it would have been fine, we sweltered despite a fan and hardly slept .
Parking is only available at the paid carpark next to the hotel.
Great little pool and sunlounger area, catches the afternoon evening sun perfectly
Aircon not working in Room 110, not good on a 26c day!
Coffee from the machine at breakfast is awful, the Latte the lovely waitress made me was great though!
Air conditioning was broken in our room when the weather was over 32C and we were not told when we checked in. The room was next to a busy road so the noise was deafening with the windows open.
We were also told that we could not stay at the hotel if we did not give an email address, despite them having our home address and phone number. Apparently, all the staff there, including the duty manager were unable to change this so we had a choice: give them an email address or not stay. I use booking.com so that I don’t have lots of different hotels etc emailing me a clogging up my inbox. It was a case of computer says no!
I booked another hotel in Exeter when I left with helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms and air conditioning that worked for half the price!
It was great but the AC wasn’t functioning
No AC in the room during heatwave. That needs to be checked but otherwise everything was good
Great location. Superb outdoor gardens, terrace and pool is lovely. Breakfast super and morning staff fantastic.
Evening Bistro food is expensive and staff not very knowledgeable albeit friendly.
