Très bien situé proche de la mer et de la marina.
Très belle chambre spacieuse.
Excellent petit déjeuner.
Très bon restaurant.
La ventilation de notre première chambre était beaucoup trop bruyante.
Amazing service, breakfast and rooms couldn't really fault it. My partner had a pregnancy massage and said it was incredible too.
Lights were very confusing and couldn't get our curtains to fully open, also did get asked for cash a few times on tips instead of putting it on my room.
Amazing property with a staff that was veery helpful and friendly. Special remarks for the gym, spa, breakfast and the pool area
Worst 5-star experience ever.
The Wi-Fi didn't work
The toilet was clogged
They charged 7 EUR for parking on top of a 200+ EUR room rate ?!?
SPA was fully booked by external guests, and the hotel did not do anything about it! Even we explicitly asked few times to make things work!
Do waste your time with this place!
The bedroom was a very good size with a well laid out bathroom
Breakfast was very good with a good selection from the buffet hot and cold food and hot food could be ordered too.
Slightly out of town for those with reduced mobility.
We booked 1 week at this hotel as a last minute getaway. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the pool & sea. The room was very spacious, the balcony large, with table & chairs. They could easily fit sun loungers as well. The food was great from the breakfast to room service to the restaurant. Service in the terrace restaurant was fabulous. What let the place down & why it’s not 5 star to us was the following:
The breakfast buffet was chaos even when it wasn’t that busy. It wasn’t explained to us that you could order al la carte & there weren’t any menus on the tables but we’d see people getting delivered omelettes, eggs Benedict etc. It also took ages to get a table, even when half of them were empty. The staff were slow to clear tables & plates would be stacked & they would often walk by. Even though in the morning there were +6 waiters it was hard to get a coffee refill. The staff were always walking around & lovely when speaking to them but it seemed there was a lack of management as these were the same staff later in the day at the terrace restaurant & service was much better.
The housekeeping was not great. The first day our room still wasn’t done by 3pm & no housekeeping on our floor so we called reception & someone came close to 4pm (we’d left the room before 10am & had the room service light on). Second day it was the same. When I spoke to reception they asked when would we like the rooms serviced. I explained in the morning as we were early risers & would come back to the room post lunch to relax. I think it was day 5 or 6 (out or 7 nights) of our stay we finally had housekeeping in the morning. We also noticed the cleaning was not detailed. Dirty sheets not changed, smudges on mirrors/doors to balcony not cleaned. We even noticed the room wasn’t being hoovered or the bathroom mopped everyday. I dropped a single use perfume in the bath by accident & decided to leave it to see how long it would take to remove. it was still in the bath on check out. I don’t know if they were short staffed but in 5 star hotels we’re used to immaculate cleaning.
We booked several treatments pre arrival for the spa. I was asked to pay 100% ahead of time, was told it couldn’t be put on the room. Had no problem with this and paid. It took almost a week for them to confirm it was paid while it had been taken from my credit card. After the treatments I was asked to pay again. I explained I paid & they told me they had no record of it so I showed my email confirmation of payment received. That was fine but it seems the systems weren’t talking to each other.
Overall we did really like the hotel but to us it’s 4 star. We think it’s given 5 stars because of the facilities like the spa but for me, to be 5 star a large part is also due to service and it being seamless.
Grande Real Villa Itália Hotel & Spa is not just a hotel — it is a place with a soul ❤️
From the very first moment you step through the doors, you immediately feel the history, the atmosphere, the elegance, and most importantly — that people here truly care about you and genuinely want to make your stay unforgettable.
Every single member of the staff was incredibly kind, warm, attentive, and always smiling. They create a feeling that you are not simply staying at a hotel, but visiting people who are sincerely happy to see you. And that kind of hospitality cannot be faked — you feel it in every detail.
A very special thank you to the wonderful girl who welcomed us upon arrival. She was extremely attentive, answered every question we had, helped us with everything we needed, and made us feel comfortable from the very first minutes. She truly deserves special appreciation ❤️
And one more recommendation for everyone staying here — definitely take the bicycles and ride along the ocean to the famous beach where the James Bond movie was filmed. The views and emotions are absolutely unforgettable 😍
Also, the guys at the reception who gave us the bicycles… this is a separate love story 😄 I don’t remember your names, but honestly, I just want to say that you are amazing. So kind, fun, welcoming, and full of positive energy.
The restaurant staff were also exceptional. Already on the second day they remembered what kind of coffee we liked and what we preferred. Such delicate, elegant, and thoughtful service is very rare nowadays.
This is exactly the kind of hotel you truly want to come back to. With family, friends, your partner, children — with everyone you love. Because places like this create not only comfort, but real emotions and unforgettable memories.
A huge thank you to the entire team of Grande Real Villa Itália Hotel & Spa ❤️ You are all absolutely wonderful, and it is because of people like you that traveling becomes so special.
With great love,

De små krus med hank, som man satte på bordet sammen med flaskeøl, er alt for små og fremkaldte smil og sjove bemærkninger. Brug i stedet for glassene, som anvendes til juice ved morgenbuffetten :)

Schlechter Service und unfreundlich
We stayed for two nights. From the moment we exited our car to the end of our stay, the service was impeccable. We booked couple massages and the water treatments during our stay. Excellent as well. The rooms are spacious, nicely appointed, and I can’t say enough about the staff at this property. It lives up to its 5 star status. Breakfast was wonderful too!
I stayed with my sister at Grand Real VIlla for an extended weekend to celebrate a milstone birthday. The hotel is very clean and the rooms were great.
The reception staff was very helpful and friendly.
We wish there were more food options at the La Terazza restaurant (the Italian restaurant is currently closed). There is also no bar option to just sit and have a drink. You have to wait in the lounge area to be served.
Our room was located above main entrance and next to a home. We could hear conversations late into the evening which was somewhat disruptive later at night.
Prachtige plek, fijn zwembad, vriendelijke staf
Kamer boven entree met soms geluidsoverlast van komende en vertrekkende gasten.
Gedateerde inrichting kamer met vlekken in de vloerbedekking en beschadigd en sleets meubilair.
Me encanta ,ya he ido 2 veces y repetiré siempre
Staff were all wonderful.
Breakfast was lovely.
Location was ideal
I was a returning guest. I stayed in March last year when Cascais experienced a dreadful storm.
This time, It was disappointing not to be able to check in early, after a 5 am start to our journey and then to be offered a ground floor room without a view of a hedge! We accepted the room as it was evident that the hotel was extremely busy with a conference as we were tired and only staying for two nights.
The room itself was lovely - despite of the lack of view - but the lack of electrical sockets for charging our devices - and for the kettle caused us some inconvenience.
