Shangri-La, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with smiles from Alessando & Diane. As we entered the immaculate opulence of the shangri-la lobby with its beautifully polished floor and amazing floral display on its centre piece round table there you would find Ghulam serving his coffee and greeting you , he is such a great man, we spoke with him on many occasions , he has so much knowledge of the hotel and attractions surrounding it.
Our horizon deluxe suite on the 5th floor was also immaculate , and was kept that way, by our room attendant.
The view from our suite balcony was of the beach area and 1 of the pools , the lift takes you directly down to the main buffet Resturant , which blows your mind with beautiful displays, and of course the amazing food, there are so many choices to choose from at each sitting , with themed nights daily , our servers who actually are just the best always there always helpful , they literally wonderful people !! Vishal, Charmaine, Deer, Essam, Kaung, Ajit, we thank you all for your incredible service each day you are our friends for life !!
Being in the horizon room give you access to the horizon club on the 7th floor where there you can have , breakfast , snacks throughout the day , and a drinks happy hour in the evening , also with extremely high quality food the team there headed by Jane, who is one of the nicest people you would ever meet , and this is reflected in her wonderful team , Madhuri, Pooch, Aerielle, and Gleb, again you all are beautiful incredible people , I will miss you every day !!
The gym and spa are well equit and has another pool which is set on a roof top nice and relaxing quiteplace to go if you want to relax ,
The beach is extremely clean and a lovely place to go for some vitamin D.
I can’t for get the amazing chefs from the Sofra , Jananatha, Viban, Harshan and many more, thank you for all the amazing food and for being so polite and accommodating, you are truly the dream team .
At the entrance you are greeted by Siju , always a smile always a perfect gentleman .
So all in all thank you everyone for making my holiday the best it can possibly be, we left with tears in our eyes wanting to stay, we will be back I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Abu Dhabi .

The location is excellent and the staff are very friendly. From the reception staff—Jessa, Alissandra, Diane, Jewel—who brighten your day from the very first moment. The rooms are spotless and always ready. The food at the hotel is delicious.

Excellent hotel in a great location near the Grand Mosque. Majd in the bar, Primo the concierge and Hem in housekeeping were particularly good.

Lovely stay for a week’s getaway. Location was out of town so needed to get taxis, but they were reasonably priced and easy to find. The nearby marina was lovely, with plenty of restaurants and a decent supermarket.

The Shangri-La itself was very comfortable. The rooms were clean, and breakfast was exceptional. The main pool was popular, but we discovered the hidden gem of a pool at the gym, a rooftop swimming pool where we tended to be the only ones there. Special mention to Devendra, the lifeguard, for his warm welcome each day, and the iced waters he would bring to us, he is a credit to the hotel.

We used to live in Abu Dhabi amd this was one of our old haunts so it was great to go back after so many years. We weren’t disappointed ….the only negative was our room had a musty smell and we requested a change which was sorted immediately.

Great service at the hotel……but I would like to mention the breakfast staff (no names unfortunately) the pool bar…….. Kavindu was a real star…great personality and made our time fun. Also thanks to Yubraj who helped us move room so efficiently.

It’s a great hotel nicely situated in our opinion…..you can still get down to the corniche if you need to so you don’t miss anything.

I decided to go for dinner with my friend, and we absolutely loved the place. The atmosphere was amazing, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming.

We especially want to mention the pool bar staff — Afsar, Abdullah, and Kavindu. They were always smiling, checking on us, offering help, clearing the table, and making sure we were comfortable. Their politeness and attention truly made our evening special.
Also during dinner, we asked to change the sauce for the fish, and the chef personally came to our table to confirm exactly which sauce we preferred. That attention and kindness really impressed us.

The food was amazing as well. We had the chicken and the sea bream, and everything was served perfectly — even the plates were warm. The flavors were delicious: juicy, fresh, and slightly smoked. We really enjoyed every bite.

Also the skipper Rahim, who works there, was very kind, helpful. That meant a lot to us.

Overall, the place is wonderful, the service is excellent, and the kindness of the staff made everything unforgettable. We truly enjoyed our evening and would definitely love to come back again. Thank you to everyone for such a lovely experience!

We are a group of friends who don’t see each other as often as we would like so always make sure we prioritise our annual reunion trip to Abu Dhabi and after first staying at the Shangri La in 2017 there is nowhere else we would now consider staying. Rooms are comfortable and quiet, facilities are beautiful, the breakfast is excellent with a wide choice and we enjoy the option of the Horizon Club.

Staff are so attentive and kind and every year have helped make our trips so memorable.

The hotel is an easy taxi ride from the airport and from Yas Marina so travel and going out is easy. We like the location of the hotel as it’s a bit quieter and calmer with a beautiful view of the Mosque and sunset from the balconies.

Each year my 6 girl friends and I have a reunion at the Shangri La Abu Dhabi, this was our 4th time returning, Feb 2026. It has become a home away from home and we couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. In all areas - check-in, the rooms to the beach, restaurants and lounge we had impeccable service. The staff are always on hand to go the extra mile and make our stay very special and memorable. I would like to specifically call out some of the staff who really stood out in their service both on this trip but also over the years we have been returning as they remember us each time!!

My family and I stayed at the residences for over a month, and the experience was wonderful. We truly felt at home — comfortable and warmly welcomed by the team, who were always very attentive and willing to help us at any time.

Shangrila abudhabi was the best hotel I have ever stayed. From the moment the valet opened the car door to the front staff who checked us in, the bell boy who brought our luggage to our room, the server at the club lounge who greeted us with a smile every time and continuously refilled our champagne, the pool staff who made our sunbeds and came running with napkins when I spilled drinks all over me, the buffet manager who came running to offer us a good bye cake on our last day. Everyone was genuinely kind and happy to be offering the service. And my stay here made it worth coming all the way to abudhabi. The unbeatable view of the mosque is a plus. Highly highly recommended!
