Barceló Malaga Hotel

Arrived very early to Reception expecting to drop off cases and return after lunch for check in however the very kind Reception ‘manager?’ not only gave us an upgrade to
a junior suite suite but also had the room immediately available and we checked in and up to the room and this was all before 10 am!….. Fantastic!!
Beautiful room although the jacuzzi bath was not working which we reported.
Many thanks for making our trip extra special!

This hotel has everything for an enjoyable stay: great staff, location is convenient, the breakfast and the rooftop terrace is very relaxing. Just wish the breakfast started 1/2 hour sooner as we always have to travel onward.

Good hotel standardl: good location nearby train and bus station, friendly and helpful staff, big and comfortable beds.

Great hotel to stay in. 15 min walk to Old Town. Great for exploring and getting lost but finding great food and drink. Definitely be back

Great hotel, comfortable rooms, fab location, lovely breakfast and roof terrace!

Overall a good stay comfy room however priced on the high side. Breakfast was just under €20 per person so we ate in a different cafe daily for under €15 for both of us.
Hotel bar on the roof was closed but the area was very nice to sit in the sun. Gym is great. Sadly no one told us you needed to book the sauna so we didn’t get to use it.
We drank in the bar which is nice but again expensive. However the hotel is placed in the centre with a plethora of places to eat and drink in. Staff were not friendly and didn’t provide a friendly feel or any additional information unless asked.
Overall we had a nice time and hotel was clean and comfortable. Air con in the room was great and coffee provided (but no milk).
I would recommend the hotel and have stayed in their chain many times. However if you are on a budget this is not the hotel for you.

The room was big and clean. Very good bed & bathroom.
Also great quality of the breakfast and the rooftop was very cool.

Didnt use lunch or diner.

Perhaps its possible to add some more English tv stations or (even better) Dutch or Belgian TV.

We were given a lovely room with a wonderful surprise of complementary cava which was welcome as the bar had closed as we arrived after midnight due to unavoidable delays in our travel arrangements.we wish we could have stayed longer but our pre prepared schedule with secret escapes did not allow this.We had been scheduled to stay on our last night but this was changed to an alternative venue.I am glad that we had the opportunity to visit the hotel .

Good hotel but wish it had a balcony room felt closed in .we overlooked the train station roof which wasn’t ideal would have liked a better room on the front of hotel

Excellent hotel situated next to main railway station, Metro and shopping complex. Hotel has excellent facilities and access to Málaga old town is only minutes away.

Highly recommend this hotel which is connected to Maria Zambrano train station. Everything you need. Super comfortable. A bit of luxury. Amazing rooftop for relaxing in the sun ☀️

Fabulous hotel in a great location to discover the city and coastline of Costa del Sol Malaga really is a perfect
getaway location within easy reach of the UK. Hotel is spotlessly clean.
Rooms have full bathrooms with robes and slippers included . Spacious rooms. Excellent selection at breakfast which is buffet style with egg station for freshly cooked omelettes and pancakes. Top floor has a small pool and sunbeds, perfect for when you need to relax after exploring the city. The bar by the pool was not open (in feb) but they were chilled about you bringing drinks up there. Restaurant bar on ground floor has a good selection of food and drinks and not crazy London prices. Hotel is located next to the Maria Zambrano station which connects you to anywhere you need to go. Also small shopping centre at the station and larger one (primark, Zara, mango, dunes) 300 metres away.
Can easily walk to the centre or get the C1 (one stop). 3 stops to yeh airport so no need for cabs.

Stayed with friends . Easiest access from and too airport . Hotel in a station shopping mall so had everything . Walked easily to centre of Malaga and so much to see . Rooms so comfortable had everything . Aircon we couldn’t work out but opened window

We went for my Husband 60th, just for three nights, and what an amazing hotel with fabulous service, the place is immaculate, the rooms beautiful, and we received a bottle of bubbly and some chocolate strawberries on our arrival as I had informed them of my Husband‘s birthday, then yesterday on the day of his birthday when I had put his birthday cards up, they again provided another bottle of bubbly and his own little cake with a candle, and a lovely message, lovely little touches like this is what makes this place amazing, breakfast lovely, and location really good, would recommend to everybody!

Staff at this hotel were all so friendly and welcoming and efficient. Parking on site was fantastic and at €22 cheaper than other cities. A very straightforward flat 18minute walk into the old town where we can highly recommend a visit to the Central Market what an incredible place fantastic experience. The hotel has a giant slide from the first floor which was great fun.

Great stay , Rooms spacious and bed very comfy , We were celebrating our anniversary and there was a bottle of cava and strawberries waiting for us when we came back to our room

Have used this hotel before due to its close proximity to the train/bus stations.
Only stayed for 1 night and did not have breakfast due to an early start. The room was comfortable and quiet.

The Barcelo Málaga is a great place to stay when spending time in Málaga city. It has amazing staff who are always willing to help you whether that be by providing hotel services or providing information about the location. It is in a great location with easy access to transport links for the metro, buses, local trains or intercity trains. The services provided by the hotel met all our expectations and more. Excellent value for money. The nicest thing is that many of the staff have been there a number of years and they make us feel like family when we arrive. It is our Málaga home.
