We had a really great stay at Hofgarten. I had a one-person room, which unfortunately wasn't as nice as the double room. But for the money, it still is a really great value. The room was very spacious, and so was the bed. There was no coffee machine nor AC, but on the other hand, there was a tablet where you had a nice overview of the hotel and the services they offer. I had windows just onto the street, so it was a little bit noisier at night, but nothing bad. Valet parking is available, so be prepared that it takes about 10 minutes before you get your car back. The location is excellent. Almost everything in Lucerne is within walking distance, and you have the famous lake, the Hofkirche St. Leodegar, or the Lion Monument just a few minutes away. The iconic bridges and the city walls are close as well. Overall, a very great choice if you want to spend a day in Lucerne.
The accommodations appeared somewhat dated, and the available amenities were limited. There was an increase in noise levels during the evening hours. The breakfast selection was not particularly extensive.
