Beautiful hotel. This hotel is absolutely beautiful! I cannot recommend it highly enough. It is located very close to the beach, it's yards away, so it was nice to be by the pool and the sea at the same time! The first impression was how lovely clean it looked, checking in was quick and easy, with no fuss or waiting around. Soon I’ll be back .
pleasant staff , impeccable cleanliness, the rooms are comfortable and spacious modern , with balcony , excellent breakfast, very varied , complete especially quality products , restaurant by the sea , menu and very varied and good proposals , hotel run with extreme kindness by the owner of the hotel , thanks to all..
We have been there several times, it's pretty, very clean . We are always very pleased with the very helpful and kind staff. The rooms are very clean and perfect view. We will be back soon.
DO NOT GO HERE WITH CHILDREN. DO NOT GO WITH EASYJET HOLIDAYS
We booked this family friendly holiday as sold by EasyJet Holidays.
I’ll start with the good points-
Location is great- the beach across the road is stunning.
Close enough to walk to the waterpark.
The food was satisfactory. It wasn’t the worst but wasn’t the best that I’ve had.
Bad points-
The hotel is very dated which we expected. What we did not expect was how run down and unkept it actually was.
We couldn’t get a sheet to fit our bed. Which sounds ridiculous but it was just a flat sheet laid on top of the mattress that wouldn’t fold round so every time you moved the sheet moved and you ended up on the bare and dirty mattress which is highly unhygienic.
When we approached reception we’re told that housekeeping had left at 5pm and no one in the whole hotel could get us a sheet. This is madness considering the amount of children etc in the hotel and accidents can happen.
There are dirty plates and cups etc just left lying around.
No WiFi as advertised. Barely works throughout the hotel.
Mould in the bathroom
Plugs hanging out the wall
Most unengaged staff I have ever seen at a hotel. No one barely spoke to us the whole holiday.
No atmosphere.
Entertainment was very basic and unorganised.
More concerning than any of this was a member of the waiting staff who after repeatedly being asked not to. Kept lifting our friends toddler and kissing him on the face. Trying to repeatedly coax him away from our table like you would coax a cat. Kept repeating how beautiful he was. Picked him up and trapped his fingers between the table and the high chair.
Insulted the other young child saying she wasn’t beautiful but he was.
Asking the females in the group if we wanted to make babies with him.
Asking others if they were gay.
I raised the issue with the toddler to other available members of staff at the time as it was making us really uncomfortable and the waiter in question then approached me with animosity pointing in my face and using obscene hand gestures. Towering over me as I sat with the toddler on my knee and trying to intimidate me.
When reported to reception we were refused to speak to management on multiple occasions and this was never actually addressed.
I have travelled to many places around the world and never have I felt so scared and isolated before with no support.
EasyJet rep was nowhere to be found and once returning I have raised it with EasyJet Holidays and I have never been met with such lack of compassion and empathy from a reputable company before.
I would advise that you do not travel here with children and I would advise that you do not book through EasyJet Holidays due to lack of aftercare.
Pros
-clean and large swimming pool
- kids swimming pool a plus
- close to the beach
- decent food and many choices
Cons
- dirty room, old furniture and old appliances
- not enough cutlery or dishes for a family of 4 ( 1 plate, 2 spoons, 3 forks, 1 butter knife and a plastic ball). I didn’t have a pan to warm up baby’s milk.
- bedsheets worned out, towels had a bad smell despite the fact that they were changed daily
- ants, spiders and 1 cockroach in our apartment
-staff not to the standard
Wasted time and money.
A terribly run-down hotel near a good beach.
The hotel grounds are untidy, with yellow, dried-up grass, withered bushes, cracked tiles, and trash scattered everywhere.
Limited and monotonous choice in the restaurant. Despite the proximity of the sea, there are no seafood dishes. Stale bread for breakfast, sometimes even moldy.
Worn-out rooms that haven't been renovated in a long time, with old, uncomfortable furniture. The staff is mostly indifferent. The pools are almost never cleaned. The gym has one treadmill and a few dumbbells.
I don't often write reviews, but felt compelled to do so on this occasion. We booked this holiday tentatively as we were apprehensive about the amount of negative reviews, but decided to give it a go because there were some positives.
We really feel that the things other reviewers have complained about have been blown out of proportion. It is fair to say that the rooms are scruffy and outdated, but they were clean. We never spend much time in our room when away, so it didn't matter to us. I was especially anxious about the cot as some reviews commented on how filthy the cots were, but ours was fine.
The pool area was great and always looked very inviting. The pools aren't heated, but it didn't matter because the air temperature was hot. I particularly liked the fact that the children's pool was shaded by a pergola.
The food was good and again, we don't feel that it deserved the negativity that some reviewers have given it. At dinner there was always a variety of meats, a fish and a pasta with some variations of potatoes/ veg and chips. Then there were salads and hummus etc to choose from. There was also a child's selection which had three different choices each night - mostly the same each night. Each morning there was a large cooked selection, so you could have your fry up if that's your thing, but also a cold continental selection. Lunch was a smaller version of dinner. The cooked food was never piping hot, but it's never going to be when in the warmers - which would be the case anywhere.
The staff were friendly and tried their best to interact and make you feel welcome. The waiting staff were mostly quite young and couldn't speak fluent English, so did the best they could which I think some other reviewers have taken as rudeness. It is definitely accurate to say that the pool barman was not into making cocktails, and would huff and puff about it if you ordered one but he still made it, so we didn't care.
The entertainment was fine - the young girl who ran the mini disco tried really hard to make all the children feel included and have a good time.
Location of the hotel was good and it was on a main bus route.
Overall, you get what you pay for. If you're looking for luxury, you aren't going to get it but for the money we paid we were happy with our holiday and would come back here again.
We stayed at Tsokkos paradise village in Larnaca. Definitely not 4 star. Just about 3 star.
The accomodation and village is in need of a lot of TLC, many broken floor tiles and very dated but kept nice and clean. Shower was good.
The sliding doors were really difficult to open.
The sofa bed which I slept on was very hard and uncomfortable as only a thin topper covering the metal joints.
Other bed in apartment very hard, no bulb above mirror, lampshade falling off by one bed side.
A spare bed left in accommodation. Minimal seating and space with sofa bed open.
We were in the first block of accomodation which was good in as much as everything close by, but very noisy as everybody had to pass there, and early breakfast preparations very disturbing.
Also pool towel man right outside room.
We had to call out security one night because of large group of drunken residents. Night staff speak minimal English. Security did nothing but his presence worked.
Food was very basic and not much variation, no proper Cypriot dishes which is a shame. Would have been nice to have at least one night where food not generic. But the main problem was most of the food was not hot, always verging on cold so it was quite concerning. as mainly fish, chicken and pork.
Labelling was unclear so hard to know what was pork, which I do not eat.
Most of the staff rather reserved and always looked bored or disinterested But there were a few friendly ones.
Entertainment minimal. Maybe because out of season as we went in October
Pool lovely , weather amazing.
Loungers many broken and just sitting there.
Not too far to the local beach which was busy, but very family friendly. Nissi beach not far.
The bus stops are near and regular buses into Aya Napa are only €2/3 in evenings or all day pass €5.
Firstly the the hotel is nowhere near 4-star standard. Our room was dirty, the bath was stained green, the shower curtain was mouldy and there was a constant smell of sewage. The bed was absolutely horrendous. With just one very thin undersized sheet that could be tucked underneath the mattress and no mattress protection. The bed itself was extremely uncomfortable and unstable, clunking with every movement, we had to use a book to stop it wobbling. There was an ant infestation, and after staff sprayed, they left the dead ants on the worktop. Basic supplies like toilet paper weren’t restocked. The banisters at the entertainment area were unsafe and not far from completely falling where the mini disco was situated. Extremely Dangerous for children. The mini disco would have a very abrupt ending every night were the kids would stand waiting for the next song when in fact it was finished. Wi-Fi didn’t work in our room at all.
The most distressing issue was a serious incident involving a male waiter who acted inappropriately toward our 19-month-old son. He waited for my husband to leave the table at breakfast when he approached my son and started stroking his head whilst wearing his cleaning rubber gloves, he made inappropriate comments suggesting that he and I “make a baby,” he tried lift my son out of his highchair twice despite being told not too then proceeded to kiss my baby on the cheek. He then trapped my son’s fingers between the tray and table. He told me that my daughter wasn’t beautiful but my son was. It’s was quite distressing.
That evening, the same waiter was coaxing my son to come to him. Again he was told not to. He proceeded to pick him up on more than one occasion and kissed my son again despite being told not to. When we complained, another waiter said “see?” as if it was a known issue. The man was spoken to but then became aggressive, pointing and making obscene swearing gestures.
When we reported this to reception, no manager was available, and although we were later told he’d been “spoken to,” no apology or follow-up was ever given. We were later offered free drinks, which seemed to be an attempt to smooth things over without addressing what had happened. The waiter continued to stare at us for the rest of the stay, leaving us feeling unsafe and deeply uncomfortable.
What should have been a happy family holiday became traumatic and distressing. Both the standard of the hotel and the handling of a serious safeguarding issue were completely unacceptable. I have made a formal complaint to EasyJet Holidays to investigate this property and its staff. Families deserve to feel safe — we absolutely did not.
We did half board for one week at Tsokkos Paradise Village. It claims to be a 4 star hotel. There are certain things that are good about the hotel like its location and the design of the hotel premises. The food at breakfast and dinner was very good and tasty. However the drinking water provided at reception and at breakfast tasted weird. The staff were ok but not friendly as you would expect in a hotel and they seemed to be going through the motions; one or two were friendly and professional.
I cannot understand why the hotel has a 4 star rating. There are certain things about the hotel which makes this rating misleading. The rooms are very dated. Our room had furniture which clearly needed updating. The sofa bed was very old and looked dirty. The walls needed painting. The mini fridge was rusted on the outside and the air conditioner looked dirty and had bits of tape holding parts of it together. The balcony furniture was dirty. The space dividers, in some parts, were broken. The television was old fashioned with few choices of channels to watch and there was no way to play personal files through a usb port for example. The WiFi did not reach our room and was weak and unstable throughout the property. The cleaner did not make the bed on one day but wiped the floor. The cleaner also didn't change the sheets during the stay and the toiletries were not constantly restocked.
In the bathroom there was mold around the bath and the ceiling above the bath. The bath system is old fashioned but I dont mind that if its clean, which it wasn't. The toilet paper was basic, cheap and thin. The shower hose had nothing to hold it unto the wall. The plastic toilet seat kept moving and was too small.
There was no soap in the gents toilet downstairs the pool area for our entire stay as the dispenser was broken . The reception gents toilet was clumsy to close the door due to lack of space. The gym and sauna was not available. One day they changed the dinning chairs which was ridiculous as they were too short. I felt like a child trying to eat my meal and it hurt my back. The sofas in reception were uncomfortable and sticky.
The entertainment was unusual...There was no interaction with the audience. It was all pre-recorded. For example we went to a belly dancing evening and the dancers were introduced by a pre-recorded tape recorder/audio file. When their show was finished it was closed by an audio file. Then afterwards the young lady that was in charge of the audio file went to a corner of the stage and was scolling/texting on her phone...strange.
I can see how with attention to detail, like proper cleaning, better staff training, proper maintenance, updating and painting the room; this hotel could call itself 4 star but at the moment it is not there yet.
Tssokos Village is ideally placed for a family/couples holiday in Cyprus. It is close to Aiya Napa but far enough away ti avoid the busy nightlife.
It's located on a main road but rains quiet. The location is well serviced by local bus service,101 & 102 that takes you to several main areas for shops/bars etc. All for a remarkable €2. We travelled the full route that takes approx 75 mins for that fare.
The room was a studio which was quite big. It was clean but as others have said requires a good refurb.
The cleaners came in everyday and changed the towels. The bed was changed 4 times during our 11 day stay.
We stayed half board, although there are other options available.
The quality of breakfast was good with a wide choice from cereal to full cooked breakfast.
The evening meal also offered a wide choice of hot & cold food. The salads were excellent!
The pool area was excellent. Large pools that were cleaned daily. Larger pools for adults and a shaded kids pool.
There was an abundance of sunbeds including the four poster type. There
was no need to put your towels out to secure one.
The reception staff were friendly and helpful especially on the first day when everything is new. The restaurant and bar staff likewise.
The entertainment was as you would expect, mainly tribute style performers. To be fair, some were better than others. There was time during the early evening that was for the children.......babyshark eat your heart out!
Overall a pleasant 11 days.
had such a lovely time here, staff were lovely, food was good, and overall a lovely and pleasant stay, would definitely stay here again
Honest review by 2 couples we arrived 3rd Sep for 2 weeks this is not 4 star so don't expect luxury.
it's a very clean and economical hotel the rooms are in desperate need of an upgrade very tired old furniture beds sooo uncomfortable we did request a change of bed but ended up with a mattress topper for the second week of our break .
The all inclusive was of decent quality but in most cases the food was very samey each day and in most cases luke warm ,the drinks were of average quality and no premium drinks available to even buy but the restaurant manager Demeritious was absolutely amazing and a very attentive host .
The pool area was absolutely stunning and the water was warm and cleaned every day no issues with sunbeds plenty available.
The pool bar guy was the most miserable guy I have ever met he moaned about having to make cocktails but was happy to just pour beer and water as this was easier .
All in all if you want a budget hotel that is outside the hustle and bustle then this is the place for you easy bus access to Ayia Napa by bus and 100 yds to the stunning Landa Beach but beware the beach restaurant as its expensive if you have kids .
Unfortunately I wouldn't return but we had a nice holiday and would definitely go back but next time it would need to be elsewhere on the beautiful island.
R from Scotland
Pictures look great realistically it's nothing like it .
I'm writing this on behalf of my daughter's.
Rooms very tired desperately need updating.
Pools are great . Grandkids loved it .
Food I was told not the best ☹️.
Not much entertainment in evening.
WiFi nigh existent . awful night nothing ..
You can rent bikes buggies car from reception .
Bicycle are 10euro but looks more like they need some tlc ☹️. Tho I did use one that was ridable .
Would they go again 🫣☹️☹️.
Desperate for reservation.
There's a few bars 10 walk away but not much else .
Water world is 30 mins walk away . Nice harbour near by if u like big yatchs ⛵⛵.
Over all meds ££ to update and WiFi sorting
Difficult to give hotel a higher score than two due to things that mostly could be changed. Room was filthy when we arrived. In the bedside cupboard there were bra implants (Chicken fillets) and under bed earbuds so obviously hadn't been cleaned. Noticed during our stay the cleaning consisted of a mop on the open areas of room. Balcony or bathroom not touched. Very outdated furnishing and bed was old thin mattress with two sheets and nothing else.
Pool and area around it were amazing. Always lots of sunbeds available which we havn't found at any other hotel in high Summer. Pool bar serves great cocktails (Free if all inclusive) and chap there everyday works very hard.
Food ok but don't let picture on Jet2 of the restaurant deceive you. No table clothes and plastic patio chairs. Ran out of glasses couple evenings so wine from plastic cups and same in morning when only paper cups for coffee.
Entertainment in evening pretty much non existent. Bar staff in evening seemed like they resented you for dragging them away from their phones. Shame because some staff seem like they're really trying to make things work.
Beach five minute walk away is lovely but gets crowded at weekends.
Definitely wouldn't go back as it is. At the end of the day it's a hard worked for holiday and would expect better facilities and service for the rating it is given.
I would like to start off with the hotel staff who were absolutely lovely, friendly and always with a smile on their faces.
The hotel rooms do need a little TLC, as they are slightly outdated and to be honest they could’ve have been cleaner (a lot of spider webs and spiders). However we did tell the cleaning lady this and she made sure to give the room a good clean especially as we had a baby who was constantly on the floor.
Our bed sheets were changed everyday and we were provided with fresh clean towels on a daily basis, but I think this has more to do with the fact that we tipped our cleaning lady on the first day.
The food was good, lots of fresh salads and fruits and lovely hearty meals in the evening. There was also a variety for children like mine who only eat pasta, pizza and nuggets!
You could hire pool/beach towels for 10 Euro each and you be refunded once the towels were given back.
The hotel was a 2-5 min walk from panda beach which is spectacular and 5 min drive from Nissi beach. As well as a 5 min bus drive to the restaurants and strip.
Entertainment for kids could be better but we spend most nights out about walking. But if your a family who like to stay in in the evenings I would say there was not much for kids to do.
The only downside I would say was we had neighbours who would have domestic fights every night (tearing down the place). But that was not the hotels fault.
Lovely holiday but wouldn’t stay again due to rooms being outdated.
I went to this hotel for 2 weeks, my room was only cleaned once, the other times they just made the bed, gave fresh towels and some toliet roll- but this wasnt all the time, sometimes I had to ask. There was a fake nail underneath my sink for a week, before my son saw it and threw it away. The floor was never cleaned! There wasnt any hand soap in the bathroom, but plenty of shampoo and body wash. The food wasnt the best, but tbh everyone said the same at other hotels. The pool was really nice and big. The entertain was terrible, only thing was the parrot show which was only about 20mins long. Our room was right beside the speaker and stage, so no early nights if we wanted one. We had no holiday rep, no information was given about what trips to do- no leaflets available. We had to find our own excursions.
Very good acomodation conditions, room with large bacony, very clean.
Food for all tastes, lots of varieties and very tasty.
Friendly staff and helpfull.
The beach is located 2-3 minutes away from the hotel.
Highly appreciated and recommended!
We booked this hotel & had read mixed reviews so wasn’t sure what it would be like, but here is our 100% honest review.
We arrived past 1 am checked in and were given sandwiches, shown to our room which we found to be very spacious, that was all we took notice of being such a late arrival.
The next morning we were not disappointed with the location of our room, however the room it’s self was tired by this we mean it’s not falling apart just in need of an update, everything functioned as it should air con was great. Let’s face it you don’t go looking for the sun to spend all your time inside, you use it to shower & sleep, we found the beds comfortable & housekeeping came in every day.
The pool area is what you see in the photos and it’s kept immaculately clean with the pool guy in every morning. Never any sunbed wars as there are plenty. Pool bar open daily and friendly staff.
Lots of mixed entertainment though out the day with a lovely young lady (Hungarian) asking you to join in but never put under pressure to do so.
The restaurant… is a buffet style, there was something for everyone and plenty of it at all 3 sittings breakfast, lunch & dinner, it’s not like cooking for a family they are catering for 100s so it’s never going to be piping hot but everything was well cooked and very well presented.
Evening entertainment could do with a revamp it was pretty weak. That was the only criticism but in fact it made you chat with others staying there.
ALL STAFF went above and beyond and were friendly and welcoming nothing was to much trouble.
We were leaving at 8.30pm & was allowed to keep our room till 2, they had somewhere safe for our cases and a room for us to shower and supplied towels.
This is clearly not a 5* hotel if that’s what you are looking for look elsewhere. But if you’re looking for safe, comfortable, clean and friendly, I would certainly recommend Tsokkos Paradise Village.
We stayed half board in this lovely hotel which had a nice big pool with plenty of sunbeds on offer.rooms were basic but we're clean and also cleaned every day.
Was a bit unsure of food after reading previous reviews but will say I really enjoyed the food as did my family which has some very fussy eaters in it.
The hotel is situated in a quiet area and is a short walk to to some bars and restaurants on the main road in both direction ( about 10 minutes). Waterpark is also a 5 minutes bus ride from front of hotel.
The beautiful landa beach is just a couple of minutes walk opposite the hotel. This is one of the nicest beaches I have been to and is perfect for family's.
