Gorgeous building with an old style charming Californian feel. Our room was very spacious with fabulously comfortable bed. The staff were super friendly and we really enjoyed the pool
A bar would have been nice for afternoon drinks by the pool
The location of the hotel was perfect. I also liked that they had cookies in the lobby. For breakfast they had a self serve mimosa station that was probably the HIGHLIGHT of the stay. My husband enjoyed the 24/7 coffee station.
The check in lady was so rude. I was excited to be there and ask if they had an upgrade. The receptionist replied no and then spent the rest of the time trying to get me not to check in. Me and my husband thought it was weird but I was exhausted and just wanted to get into the room. My husband proceeded to ask them where the smoking section was and the same receptionist told him out in the parking lot. THIS IS WHERE EVERYTHING STARTS TO BECOME HORRIBLE. On the first night they don’t tell you that the hotel has NO SECURITY in any form. Anyone can walk onto the property because it’s only a small gate with NO LOCK SYSTEM. There is ZERO security personnel present and the only staff that are usually in the lobby are closed and gone by 9 pm. After dinner was always a bit eerie because anything could happen. The rooms and grounds are FILTHY & outdated. I have never in all my life seen cobwebs on bushes outside. Spiders EVERYWHERE. Bugs crawling all over the walls of the room. The breakfast is THE WORST free breakfast I’ve had. Even in low budget motels you at least get the waffle maker. There was a choice of about 5 to 7 items that were the same every day. There was never any eggs, sausage, bacon or most of the common breakfast items. We ended up ordering Uber Eats for breakfast and eating it in the lobby. THERE IS NO ROOM SERVICE. They have a horrible selection of prepackaged snacks in a fridge. There isn’t a bar so if you wanted to just hang out at the hotel or by the pool there will be NOTHING but towels. Lastly the staff members stole a pair of Swarovski earrings I left in the room. They waited until we checked out and told us the room smelled like smoke even though that was a lie. The cleaning lady chased us down to give me my husbands cologne but forgot to give back the jewelry because she couldn’t tell the difference between glass and diamonds. They never charged the smoking fee and I’m assuming they thought the earrings were real.
I can’t wait to return to Kenwood Inn & Spa. We’ve stayed all over Napa & Sonoma and this will now be my first choice in the area. The property is gorgeous. The rooms are modern with luxurious touches. The warming pool was so nice, along with the regular pool. We stayed in a Grand King Patio room and it was beautiful and spacious. The breakfast and anytime coffee machine were delicious inclusions. Lim Ann, the concierge, is five stars all by herself. She will make sure you find the best food and wine stops. Our four night stay in the heart of wine country was excellent. Thank you, Kenwood Inn & Spa. 🫶
Beautiful property. Great free wine happy hours. Different wineries come and pour their wines. Nice breakfest
It’s one of the most beautiful properties I have ever stayed in. What a gorgeous style! Attention to details.
Staff was wonderful and very attentive.
Breakfast was fantastic.
Enjoyed complementary wine tasting.
Room was immaculate, towels were soft, bed was very comfortable.
Beautiful property in a picturesque setting. Very nicely appointed with cute little areas to lounge and relax. Plenty of cookies, water, coffee tea available all day.
Loved it all
The pool and breakfast.
Plain Greek yogurt at breakfast. Would prefer better, less intrusive music at the pool—like soft jazz. Ans better, healthier midday snack options.
Everything. Like spending a night in a luxury hotel in Europe, exceeded our expectation.
The location is quite convenient to restaurants and wineries. The entire atmosphere of the property is relaxing, well maintained and beautiful! Our room was spacious, clean, cozy and comfortable. We went mid week and paid a very reasonable rate for such a nice room. The service was excellent! The pool was relaxing and longe chairs are comfortable. Can’t wait to return!
The property is like straight out of a movie, the most picturesque grounds. The breakfast is 5 stars, amazing quality and elevated options, blew us away. I also loved the feature that the staff could text you, and you could text back with any questions. And generally speaking, the staff was extremely friendly. As for the rooms, we upgraded slightly and loved our fireplace in the room.
Although the bathroom was definitely comfortable, it could be updated to match the rest of the property and room esthetics, but this scores so low on our list of priorities.
I love everything about this property BUT the coffee could be so much better.
Large, comfortable and very well furnished / equipped room. Beautiful grounds, fantastic location.
There was nothing that we didn’t like.
breakfast was not as good as our last time there
The property is a beautiful extension of the wine country’s ambience
Cute enough place
The price gouging. There was nothing available for our dates and so they tripled the price. Paid 1000 dollars a night to not even be at the place because we had different events planned for our 10 year anniversary. Really pathetic. Also the gas pilot was very loud even after the fireplace was turned off disturbing our sleep. And when we asked the front desk they said there was nothing to be done about it. 1000 dollars a night to not even have 24/7 front desk.
The setting and layout of the hotel is just stunning. The room layouts and detail is fab.
Wine hour was such a brilliant touch as well as the welcome drink and daily cookies.
The staff couldn’t be more helpful.
I hadn’t realised there wasn’t a restaurant, we need to drive to dinner which isn’t far and the quality of restaurants within 5 mins is brilliant. Stella’s was the best meal I had all holiday. But it did mean one of us couldn’t enjoy the welcome drink and wine hour properly so somewhat devalued these offerings. That said we did still partake and enjoy this to some degree. Not having a restaurant is of course clear on the website if you study it and understanding this it’s still a great place to stay.
The cobwebs in the room were quite excessive, a very busy spider, although the room was very clean below head height.
The main thing that troubled us was the mosquitos. There were soo many in our room when we arrived, the receptionist sprayed around the windows and then we put the ac on full when we went out for dinner, this seemed to do the trick.
I can’t say enough good things about this beautiful boutique hotel. I really haven’t experienced this level of service in so long! Every person I encountered was wonderful. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. I almost felt like I was in Italy! The rooms are huge and comfortable. The balcony was beautiful. There are so many nice touches in the room and property from the breakfast, to the coffee bars and wine hour. I can’t wait to come back!
Spacious room and comfortable bed! The sparkling wine upon check in. The fireplaces in the courtyard and in room near reception. Staff, from receptionists, waiters, to spa were accommodating and pleasant. Also the hot tub and pool, with plenty of lounge chairs and towels. Breakfast too was very good & healthy. Proximity to Salt and Stone restaurant. Swedish massages were very good.
Couldn't open the bottled water in the room. The bar tender for the wine hour was curt and unhappy-it was clear she couldn't wait to get out of there. Also, the lack of signage on the hwy to signal the property is approaching--missed it twice in the daytime and night time. The cost of deep tissue massage (the added $50) was too pricey, relative to other spas in the wine country. Not enough bath towels for shower inside the spa.
