Beachside Resort Hotel

Mattress was very uncomfortable

The rooms and bathrooms really need updating. The mattress is worn out and needs replacing, but the linens were clean. We stayed for three nights. At check-in, the clerk told us that the towels would be replaced, the garbage emptied, the coffee restocked, and the floor swept daily. If we needed bed linens changed, just ask. On the second day, we returned from the beach to find housekeeping had not serviced our room. We caught the ladies on the landing, and they brought towels and coffee and took the trash. The lady handed me the broom (the floor had sand from the beach) and asked, "You sweep??" So I swept our room.

The bed was nasty yellow stain on comforter no one would change it out. The bathroom was disgusting and there was cracks throughout entire room.

I wished we had a balcony or was in the dunes sections of the property where the gulf side all have a balcony.

There were holes in tge bathroom door and the walls. The tub was stained and dirty. The sheets had what seemed to be broken chips on them. The bed was the worst bed I think I've ever had the displeasure of sleeping in. It was an old box spring that felt more like a hammock, due to it's sinking in the middle. We bought a milkshake after our concert and when we got back to the hotel we stuck it in the freezer. An hour later we decided to eat it and the smell in the freezer(pesticides I think) absolutely soaked into the ice cream. At this point it was after midnight. I absolutely would have demanded our money back if it wasn't so late. We almost decided to drive home after my wife woke up screaming that something was crawling on her. The hotel staff was not pleasant at all. The best word I could use to describe them is indifferent. They seemed unhappy to be there and could care less.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel did not meet my expectations, especially when it came to cleanliness. When I first walked into the lobby, there was an unpleasant smell, and no one was at the front desk for about 20 minutes. When the receptionist finally arrived, she seemed out of it, which made me skeptical about my stay. The room itself did not feel clean—the floor felt sandy and slippery, there was soap scum buildup in the creases of the shower, and the shower curtain appeared to have water stains. The bedsheets also had small stains, and I ultimately went out and purchased my own sheets because I did not feel comfortable sleeping on them.
