I am not giving a bad review because my stay was good and I have no complaints except if you don’t mind a hotel with no elevator on a steep step to a third Floor, you are in a for a treat. When I say there is no elevator I mean an elevator does not exist in the hotel. Otherwise, the stay was great.
The ambiance is very relaxing, with an old world colonial feel.
Nice peaceful property, staff excellent
Very Quiet
Beautiful hotel for the money. The view of the ocean was amazing and the room was what you dream on when thinking about an island vacation. This was only an overnight for us after chartering a sailboat for 10 days but we were very pleased with the choice. The only downside is the walk to nearby restaurants is dangerous. There are no sidewalks and in some places no room on the roadside to allow cars to pass. No fault of the hotel, we could’ve called a taxi but it was only a short distance from the hotel.
Great location set on a hill near the airport, with wonderful views out to sea. The staff are fantastic, the Indian restaurant on site does great food, and it’s a small, tranquil place to spend a few days.
The rooms are a little dated and relatively small, however the a/c worked very well and my room had a huge balcony with a day bed, loungers and a table to work on.
Be warned that there is no lift up to reception, so you’ll be carrying bags up quite a few steps.
Great spot close to the airport, very nice and welcoming staff.
Everyone was so nice and checked us in hours before check-in time. The property is gorgeous and there is a wonderful view.
it was a quick pop in and pop out. had a very ealy flight the next morning.
good experience and clean rooms
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Beautiful view and easy walk to the beach. The staff were SO lovely and welcoming. Our experience was great because of the hospitality we received from Shanique, Alex, and John.
No plunger.
Really well located for airport. Quick taxi ride each way $25 each way. Minutes and your checked in. Not far to beach or other restaurants etc
Just a special place in the Bahamas
Beautiful Hotel with spectacular views! Close to the airport and graciois staff. Private secluded beach a short walk down the hill . Buses also a short walk into town for the touristy area only $4 roundtrip. Restaurants are close by , Solemar was excellent.
This property I feel is a hidden gem. It feels more like your own personal villa. It’s cozy and where the pool is located along with the plants and seat give you a warm fuzzy feeling. The staff are the kindest set of people I have ever met, especially the manager Marcy, she welcomed me and treated me well. I met a staff by the name of Krissy she was fun to be around, she told me of all the cool local places to visit, not only that but as a joke while I was by the pool I said that I would be nice to drink one of the coconuts from the coconut’s tree that were by the pool. Krissy and Ms Marcy coordinated, have the staff pick and chopped fresh coconuts for us which I think was hilarious and fun at the same time. Overall best experience ever!!
The property has too many stairs and is not convient for persons with disability. The rooms need more sound proofing as it is loud for the most part and sleep can become restless due to the noise. There is a restaurant on property the food was good but quite expensive. The pool was undesirable as it looked like it has been properly maintained. If you're looking for an inexpensive place to chill at then i'd say try it, to each its own. Overall my experience wasnt the best.
The property is on the less touristy side of the island so it’s great if you’re looking for a more secluded vacation. The pros are that it’s pretty affordable, very close to the airport and there’s some good local restaurants. The staff are also very kind and professional. My only complaints would be the water in the shower constantly changes from hot to cold and the water pressure from low to high. I also noticed the room would get pretty hot despite having AC on or windows open. However I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay, but make sure you rent a car or be prepared to spend a fortune on taxis!
Quiet
Good just extra charge wen chech in
I’m not one to normally give reviews, but this was exceptional.
Checking in and day one was fine.
The man who checked me in assured me there would be a taxi for me in the morning at 7:30. I had a work meeting to attend the next day.
In the morning there was no taxi, and no one at reception. The sign said someone would be there at 8am and no one showed until 8:30. I was over an hour late to my meeting. Someone in the street asked me if I was okay, which I said yes, but I said so because I didn’t know who he was and I thought someone from the hotel would arrive at 8am.
The second night the people above me were making and incredible amount of noise. It sounded like they were dragging furniture across the floors. I said something to a staff member who went and talked to the room, but they didn’t stop. This continued until 3am.
I can’t in good conscience recommend staying here.
