I stayed at Blue Chairs Beachfront Resort and overall it was just okay.
The room was simple but comfortable. The AC worked great, the shower was nice, and it had everything I needed (no safe though). The bigger issue is the resort itself—it felt pretty rundown, and the pool water was green when I arrived.
The rooftop scene is fun with music, drag shows, and dancers, but the music is loud and you’ll hear it from your room if you’re trying to sleep early.
Location is a big plus—right on the beach, close to other LGBTQ+ spots, and about a 10-minute walk the downtown part of Zona Romántica. I felt safe walking around, and the beach service, drinks, and chairs were all good. Breakfast was included but very basic.
The worst part was checkout—they tried to charge me for a random person who never stayed in my room. It felt like a scam and left a bad impression.
Overall, I’d give it 2 stars. Great location and decent room, but the condition and checkout experience make it hard to recommend.

The hotel in general is in extremely urgent need of a makeover. Paint, decorations, finishes and furnishings look that they haven't been renovated in ages, may even from last century. There are much better options close by in a similar price range.

We love Blue Chairs! Such a beautiful rooftop view! Great staff, good shows and a beautiful location.
Th location is great and it is clean.
Having a coffee and mini fridge in the room would have made a huge difference. Who wants to go searching for coffee while hungover?

After 6 months they finally answered my review, saying it was all expediest fault, but I tried to call them for several weeks prior, and they pretended that no one spoke English, I wrote them three emails and they never replied to any and then when I finally called them within the two week time period they said oh no you have to call Expedia, and then Expedia said oh that's their cancellation policy of two weeks, I'm sure they'll wave it for you because you've been trying to contact them, and then Expedia call me back and says no they refuse to waive their policy.

The rooms, whilst adequate and I'm being kind, do not have coffee making, fridge or safe.
In general, this a 1990's hotel Which desperately needs basically gutting from the ground up. As a caveat, the elevator works fine and the rooftop bar is great. So, if you want location, do not drive and only fly/ taxi. Then yes, go for it. You will get 3 star max on s good day,

The resort is old and falling apart 🏚️. The room doors were making noise all the time 🚪😖. The floor was super dirty, like it hasn’t been properly cleaned in years 🤢. The bathroom was in really bad shape 🚿❌; no water pressure, and the toilet was basically in the same space as the shower 😑. Even the bedside tables were worn out and damaged.
The WiFi didn’t work at all 📶❌. The pool area was also in poor condition and had no proper service 🏊♂️🚫.
The staff (especially reception) were rude 😒. When I shared my concerns about what was happening in the city (which I understand is outside the hotel’s control), the response I got was “that’s not our responsibility either” in a very dismissive and disrespectful tone.
Overall, this is a terrible hotel; poorly maintained and with staff that clearly don’t know how to treat guests 👎
