The hotel is definitely outdated, but it was clean and most of the staff were pleasant and accommodating. We stayed here while attending a soccer tournament, and unfortunately our overall experience was overshadowed by how our team was treated.
While there were some children from the tournament who misbehaved, it felt as though all players and parents were unfairly grouped together. I was personally supervising my children and was disappointed to feel judged based solely on being associated with the team.
One front desk employee reprimanded me for laughing and enjoying time with other parents in a common area. I also have a child with food allergies, so I prepare meals in our room to avoid cross-contamination. I was informed that “open flames” were not permitted, which was understandable, except I did not have any open flame. Despite this, I was later charged a $250 cooking fee for using a teapot and hot plate. Interestingly, the rooms already contain microwaves and coffee makers, both of which generate heat as well.
What was most frustrating was the lack of communication from management. The manager would not speak with me directly despite communicating with the front desk staff by email and text. When I called to discuss the issue, I was not allowed to speak with her.
My advice to future guests: carefully review all hotel policies before checking in, do not allow staff to auto-generate your initials on policy forms, and have them thoroughly explain all rules before you sign anything. While the property itself was clean, the customer service and handling of guest concerns left much to be desired.
Staff at the front desk were extremely patient and kind. Rachel was always willing to extend a helping hand and always offered her assistance. She made my stay so much better.
The breakfast was very good and we liked that other places to eat weren't to far away
No atm
The room was clean, but the common areas were not as clean. While the areas that were highly visible were clean, the areas that are less visible were not. For instance the elevator floors and the door tracks were filthy. Spills were evident in the elevators and dirt and grime has built up in the door tracks. Also, when we checked out at 4 am, there was no one around. We waited at the check in desk for a few minutes, and even called out. We loaded our car and came back inside, and it was still vacant. We picked up some coffee and waited for a minute or two then left. I will say that the room was excellent. Clean and no strong fragrance smell. Just the smell of clean sir. The beds were very comfortable. And surprisingly, the air conditioning worked as did the thermostat!!!! All the lights also worked. Not the case in even upscale hotels.
Other than the lack of deep cleaning in the common areas, nothing else concerned me. The price was a very good value.
Easy access and friendly staff
Could have used an ice machine on each floor.
The buffet was decent however the bread and muffins should have been better protected.
People were handling them and putting them back.
Location was nice
Bathtub clogged and overall cleanliness of room was not great.
My family and I stayed here for one night as a pitstop on our way to Pennsylvania. The location is ideal and incredibly convenient, being right off I-95. There are great dining options just 10 minutes away, and a gas station right next to the property, which was a huge plus for our road trip.
While some reviewers mentioned that the property and amenities are a bit outdated, you have to keep the price point in mind. For what they charge, it is an absolute steal. A standard breakfast is included—nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. Overall, it's a great, budget-friendly choice for a quick stopover.
Hallways require some maintenance and deep cleaning.
Good location and closer to the highway and the event venue.
Drinking water accessibility. More choices for breakfast.
