Beautiful grounds, beautiful room, beautiful location a bit expensive and I had a few minor issues
Pros:

The location was excellent The room was beautiful and knew had upscale amenities with the massage chair and bida in the bathroom

Cons:

The stove was horrible. It’s a touch tone type of burner which is really not meant to cook a meal. It kept turning off in the middle of me cooking and no one came until the next day, but couldn’t really change anything because that’s the way it was.

Pros:

The room was very spacious and the coffee available in the hallway.

Cons:

The chairs on the balcony set a little low so that the Bannister blocks the view.

Generally pleasant, but overpriced, even given the overpriced season.
Pros:

Convenient location to Acadia National Park
and downtown Bar Harbor restaurants and whale watching.

Cons:

The Looking Glass Restaurant is strangely closed on Tuesdays so guests must find other locations outside the property, a major inconvenience.
Although there are thermostats in the room, they
do not work and apparently no central air conditioning. Instead there was one very noisy and inefficient room air conditioner that made
it difficult to sleep. During our stay temperatures were close to 90 degrees and admittedly this could be unusual in Maine, but at over $500
per night, the management should invest in central a/c for what appears to be a warming trend in Northeast.
