Wonderful stay, as always.
Pros:

Fantastic as always. The attention to detail is second to none. A step above. The Mccormack suite is absolute luxury. All staff so friendly and professional and all so happy to accomadate in every way possible. A special mention to Sarah Murray who really went above and beyond to make our stay extra special, thanks so much Sarah, we can't wait until next time.

Avoid – this is not a 5-star hotel
Pros:

We booked two rooms at the Savoy Hotel in Limerick, and one of them was in a shocking condition. The bedsheets were dirty, and when we pulled back the bedding to get into bed, several insects flew out from the bedsheets and pillows. There were also flies and other insects in the bathroom, some stuck to the walls. This is completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one claiming to be five-star.

When we reported it, a staff member arrived with insect spray. We told them not to spray the room, as we could not stay there after chemicals had been used. We were then moved to another room, which already had two large fans running because, we were told, the air conditioning was not working. Meanwhile, our family staying on another floor had fully functioning air conditioning.

The poor cleanliness, unpleasant smell throughout the rooms and even the lifts, and the below-average service made this one of the worst hotel stays we’ve experienced. I would not recommend this hotel.

Paid more to stay at Savoy as we know it’s an excellent property only to be burdened with the heat having no functioning
Pros:

Savoy is a beautiful property one of the best in Limerick

Cons:

No Air Conditioning though advertised with it. It was hot and uncomfortable for most of the stay. Hotel windows weren’t open, no fan. Not what we paid for

5 star stay.
Pros:

5 star stay. I was very pleased with reception. Very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was beautiful. Breakfast staff were very courteous and polite. My room was also very clean and equipped with everything that I needed. The air conditioning was not great in my room 510. I stayed at the George hotel and the AC was much better there in room 7016. Other than that it was still a 5 star stay. Bar staff were also very friendly and professional. Thank you team!

If it’s above 23 degrees don’t stay at the Savoy Hotel!
Pros:

Location & size of the room. Staff were great

Cons:

It was hot hot hot. No air conditioning in the room made it unbearable, fridge was at room temperature.. We had 3 fans but it still made the whole experience horrible….never again!
