A few more bugs that normal in and around the property.
I find it absolutely appalling the way this establishment treats the families of our service members who come to Altus to visit them. I had to come back and revisit this and change what I said in my review, since I reviewed this property before I interacted with the kid at the front desk. We were in Altus to visit a family member who is stationed at the Air Force base in town. We had to get two rooms because we had our two kids with us. The first set of rooms were absolutely disgusting and falling apart. The toilet in our kids' room was stopped up and wouldn't flush, so the kid at the desk offers us a plunger to deal with someone else's excrement. I wasn't going for that, so he put us on the second floor in two different rooms that were even more filthy and falling apart. The shower had dirt in it, the carpets hadn't been vacuumed in ages, there was hair on the bed sheets - so you know they hadn't been changed between guests, there was a cat toy in our room and later on we discovered cat litter all over the carpet that hadn't been vacuumed in ages. There were holes rotted into the wall around the shower that you could roll a golf ball through, just from the rot that happens around the shower if you neglect basic maintenance. The rooms both smelled horrible. I laid there the entire night half awake because of some loud grinding noise coming from the exhaust vent in the bathroom. Needless to say, we checked out the next morning. When I asked the kid at the desk to refund the two rooms for the night we were supposed to stay (not the previous night), he argued with me over the cat litter and then made me take him up to the room and show him. He refunded the one room, but not the other - he refused and said that since there wasn't cat litter on the floor in that room, he wasn't going to refund it - so I asked him, was I supposed to leave my kids there for the night to justify paying for the room? How ridiculous can we get? So, to end the argument with the kid at the desk, I told him to just keep the room fee for the room that didn't have cat litter in it because the hotel clearly needs the money more than I do. I can't believe this hotel even exists, and I find it appalling that family of our service members come into Altus and get treated the way this kid treated us - argumentative and absolutely refusing to see that we shouldn't be expected to pay for a room we couldn't use because of the absolute disgusting filth that this property is loaded with. I can't believe Hilton even owns this brand, to be honest with you. This place is Motel 6 under the highway overpass level of disgusting and run down. It truly is one big health code violation that needs to be shut down.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Great location and property clean. Our bed was very comfortable.
Only thing in our room I wasn’t satisfied with was the shower. Sliding door broken but the main thing was the mold around the bottom of the shower.
Enjoyed our stay, room was clean, bed & pillows comfy, plenty of nice towels, breakfast was good and had a big selection. A/C unit kept the room temp. perfect, filter was a little dirty which is common in every other place we’ve stayed. Coffee, hot cocoa, tea & cookies is available is the lobby.
Very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast!
The ice machine and pool were not working.
Everything
All was well
Relatively clean. Sounds like you may have staffing issues for housekeeping at the moment, so the small things I saw weren’t a big deal.
We have stayed here multiple times and usually it’s top notch. But I found the staff severely lacking this time around. We had called for additional toilet paper, and I had to walk down and grab it myself, to which the excuse was, “sorry, I was with a customer”, even though I walked down to him on his phone sitting at a table. Not even behind the desk or presenting as a staff member. It was that way for the entire stay as well, so he wasn’t the only one to do that.
Nothing
The pool was closed, the whole facility was in shambles, and the breakfast was cold at 6 am.
We didn’t eat breakfast…had to pregame before thanksgiving
Parking. I’m sure it’s fine 99% of the time, but there were a couple of fellows who bogarted some prime parking spots with their off roader trailers
Very nice
Bed & pillows were comfortable
They have a bug problem
Wallpaper was peeling off
The bathroom had baseboards that were not attached. The toilet had stains under the rim. The water got outside the shower, which was not part of the tub. Internet Connectivity was Awful. The bed was king with only 4 small pillows. Towels were small and only 2.
