Comfort Suites Galveston Cruise Port Area - Beachside

Breakfast was poor. Room needed some repairs and better cleaning. Staff need to be better trained- arrived and had no shower curtain. Went to get more towels and was asked why I needed more. I told her because we had to use them to sop up water from first shower due to no shower curtain. We had gone to ask for one and were told by that person we didn't need one. Second person brought one right up! Kids charged some food to the room and then later when husband tried to he was told they didn't do that there! Handle kept falling off BR door.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. I had done my reservation done prior to 3 weeks before. When I arrived to check-in.when I got to the hotel, my room still wasn't ready. I had specifically reserved a room with two beds, They told me my reservation was not available they didnt have room for me. Instead they want to give me a room with 1 king size bed and sofa. Well I didnt pay for that and thats not what Iwant and what I reserved. Yet they had to scramble to prepare a different room while my family and I waited for nearly two hours.Our check in was 3pm we didnt check in until 5pm. After a long day of traveling, this was completely unacceptable.

The condition of the property was just as disappointing. The outdoor pool area was poorly maintained, with rusted gates and visible signs of neglect. It did not look clean, safe, or inviting.

When we finally got into our room, it was obvious that it had not been properly prepared. The room was dirty, and the bathroom didn't even have a trash can. It felt like basic housekeeping and attention to detail were completely overlooked.

Overall, this hotel failed in every way—from customer service and organization to cleanliness and maintenance. I would never stay here again and would not recommend this Comfort Suites Galveston Cruise Port Area Beachside to anyone. If I could give it zero stars, I absolutely would. Upon of all that. The manager offer me 1 night free stay at any hotel. But that doesn't make up for all the trauma and issues we had at this place. 

The whole place is not in good shape. It needs improvement.

The hotel has a distinct mouldy stale smell all over and the windows wont open. Reception staff was welcoming and friendly, cannot say the same aboutbreakfast service. The pool looked scary, though there were other guests swimming in it.

Felt.it was overpriced for the condition of the building. Breakfast was not good.

The water pressure was not good the coffee was expired at the front desk and we never got clean towels got yelled at for taking food to the room

First look the room was dirty. Sink was leaking and refrigerator was turned down with the knob removed so it could not get turned back up. My wife had to wipe down surface area. The only reason we didn’t check out the first night because we didn’t want to go thru the hassle of finding another location to stay at. Also the smoke detector had been covered in duct tape . We also stayed 3 nights . After the first night our towels were picked up and not returned. we really did not want to complain ONLY because the staff were super friendly. BUT we came home with ROACHES IN OUR BAGS . Im so disappointed.

The beds were awful. The breakfast was gross and they closed early. Putting away things before 9 so we couldn't eat. Everything was dirty. The fridge was rusty and so was the microwave. Stains on everything. Smelled like paint everywhere.

It was old and falling apart. You couldnt even see the beach. Everything was rusted. The refrigater was rusted. The microwave was rusted inside. The bed was hard. The couch was hard too.

Very dated.

Absolutely a horrible value for the money spent. 300 bucks for one night while under full construction/renovation, parking lot was small and an absolute nightmare, the beds looked like they had been slept in several times already and they just pulled the blanket over. Paint over spray all over the floors, bed, and headboard. Even the mini fridge and microwave looked old rusty and musty. Bathroom handle fell off when I went to close the door, screws on the floor. ALL the furniture was very minimal and outdated. Wifi didnt work and the staff did not care. They just said it was broken.
