Hopkins Bay Belize a Muy'Ono Resort

Lovely spot to stay and explore the village of Hopkins! Beautiful pools, great food & excellent service. Clean & well kept rooms. We enjoyed using your bikes to get around and see the cultural village of Hopkins. Then you for a lovely stay!

It was beautiful, right on the water as described. Very clean, quite, relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are great, comfortable beds, clean rooms.

Nice large rooms, comfortable to accommodate my family. Lots of amenities like pools, paddle boards, bikes and Kayaks. Staff were excellent and so sweet!

Everything about this experience was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The warm welcome began the moment I pulled up to the resort and saw my name displayed—it immediately made me feel special and celebrated.

I was then greeted by Velene at the front desk, who addressed all of my questions and concerns with a smile, genuine kindness, peaceful energy, and warmth. She truly set the tone for an unforgettable stay. The entire staff was amazing, and every interaction made me feel valued and cared for.

The dining options were excellent. Ember Restaurant was fantastic, and the Rum Shack on site was another favorite. Be sure to support them both! The room was spotless, the service was immaculate, and the beach was absolutely beautiful.

One of the highlights was the complimentary kayaking and paddleboarding, which was a top-tier amenity and added so much to my overall resort experience. Ladies, you must try the shampoo and conditioner provided by the resort! I’m still trying to find out the name of the products so I can take some back to the U.S.—they were that good!

Every detail was thoughtfully executed, and everything exceeded my expectations. This birthday getaway was truly perfect in every way. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to the resort!

May was a great time to go, as it was slow season and very quiet, the place was practically empty during the week. Relaxing and enjoyable trip. The accommodations were right on the water and the deck was fantastic to sit on every night while the ocean breeze kept us cool. The food was fantastic and the kitchen even prepared the fish we caught and everything was cooked to perfection. Chavis behind the bar and server was the man! He had great recommendations, was great to talk with, and made our dinning experience fantastic. Tell him Kyle and Kristin said Hey when you go see him!

Beautiful resort with friendly service and nice amenities. Easy to get to the village and experience local culture and food. We really enjoyed our stay... very relaxing. But if you go, grab the Jungle Oil from reception early on and use often so you can fend off the no-see-ums! :)

The staff was outstanding and sincerely friendly. We were on a first name basis with all of them. The food was amazing, and the entire facility was pristine. The resort arranged several wonderful tours for us.

The grounds were lovely, the pools fabulous, restaurant super tasty. Having the bikes, kayaks and SUP was a nice bonus. And the staff was very lovely.

I loved my stay at Hopkins Bay Resort. I especially liked the serene atmosphere. Unlike a lot of resorts, it is quiet. In addition, it is beautifully landscaped and the staff were outstanding. I highly recommend getting a massage while you are there. Also, the food was delicious and affordable. I also enjoyed using the the free kayaks and paddle boards. There are two pools and each day I was able to find a time when it was just me in the pool. It was a wonderful week. Unfortunately seaweed is more frequent due to global warming but the staff tirelessly cleaned it up every morning. I really appreciated their hard work because I love swimming in and sitting by the ocean. At other resorts in Hopkins they were not as meticulous. Lastly, the resort provides free bikes. I did not have a car and was able to get around easily with the bikes. It's very flat and lots of people use bikes.

Loved our stay here in April. The grounds were well maintained and beautiful. The staff very friendly and food at the Rhum Shack was really good. We would kayak in the morning, enjoy the pool/beach, and go into Hopkins or further for activities. Will definitely be back

We loved our stay our Hopkins Bay Resort. There were 6 of us including 4 young adults. The staff and locals are amazing. Lots to do in Belize and Anthony can help get you set up to experience all there is to do in Belize. Free bikes and kayaks! The beach is nice and they to their best to keep the seagrass cleaned up. Our beds were a bit stiff, even for me who enjoys a firmer mattress but they gave us extra pillows to help. We stayed in villa 17. The Rhum Shack staff, food and drinks exceeded our expectations. They are all so friendly and the fresh food and ingredients make the whole experience special. The weather was perfect and we all had a trip to remember forever.

We had a great experience at Hopkins Bay Resort. Quaint village and extraordinary people. Nothing but great hospitality. While in Hopkins you must experience the Garifuna Experience (Palmetto Grove Eco Cultural and Healing Lodge). Ouuwahnie, the owner, greeted us with the warmest welcome. The food and history shared was phenomenal. Another great stop was Ella's Restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. Finally, if you're a chocolate lover or just curious on how it's made, visit Che'il Chocolate making experience. It was an absolute treat.

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. I planned to propose to my now fiancé, on our 2 year dating anniversary, and they made it an incredible experience. I purchased an oceanfront room along with the Honeymoon package, and called in advance to allow them to know that it wasn't for an actual Honeymoon, but for a proposal dinner and engagement celebration. They did a wonderful job keeping it a secret from her for a couple days, before seamlessly putting together a romantic, oceanfront, candle light proposal dinner for us. I intended to hire a videographer, but didn't have time to plan everything and find the right one in another country, considering the state of the world and current climate (wars)- and this was not my initial proposal destination (although I ultimately made the right choice). So Shaq, our server, was perfect. I asked him to record the "anniversary toast", and he knew exactly what meant. He proceeded to record the entire proposal like a professional. I was very pleased with the outcome. And she was completely surprised, shocked, humbled and appreciative of how everything turned out. She felt like a true princess. Of course she said yes, and we have a fairytale engagement to share with the world.

In celebration, the floral turndown was amazing as well. While at dinner, the staff placed rose petals on the floor of our room, like in Coming to America. And the bed was decorated with flowers that spelled out beautifully congratulatory expressions. They cleaned our room and made it a perfect return. I am completely, BEYOND pleased with the experience and the staff of Hopkins Bay Resort, Belize.

We stayed at Hopkins Bay for one night in a stopover to another destination. The staff was nice and friendly and facilities were good. That said, Andrew was the standout star of the show. His personal attention to issues we had during our travel put the entire trip back on track. Special thanks to Andrew

My wire and I had spent a 30 year anniversary at Hopkins Bay Resort with two of our sons and two of our friends. We could not have had a better time the staff was so friendly and our room was very well kept up. The food was very good at our restaurant. The village of Hopkins was so friendly and inviting. We enjoyed the colorful culture of Belize and can’t wait to return. Thank you for making our 30 year anniversary's so special for us, we could not have asked for for a better place to spend it.
