Stayed for one night and had a great time.
We were in the Willow suite which is lovely and fabulous views.
We used the pool and steam room, which were small but fine for what we needed.
We had food from the bar menu and ate in the drawing room, service was excellent and the food was good.
Breakfast selection and quality were also very good.
Comfortable spacious room
Service at breakfast slow
We have stayed here lots of times and it never disappoints us. The hotel is beautiful with fabulous views from the
rooms at the front. It is a peaceful oasis! The staff are excellent and make you feel like a special guest.
We always eat in the restaurant and did do on this occasion. The menu was slightly different than usual but the food and service were as excellent as
ever. Breakfast service has also changed slightly but the quality is still spot on.
The pool and spa area are also worth a visit. We enjoyed a swim, hot tub and steam room as always.
This remains our favourite hotel for a quick getaway - we don't live faraway but enjoy a night of luxury every now and again!
Beautiful elegant building lovely country location room and all public spaces luxurious.

Spa wasn’t big enough
We used to own a 150 cover restaurant so we do know a little about hospitality. My husband and I talked about our experience and we noted that it was a true hospitality experience. Great knowledge from staff, Richard great recommendations, excellent food in the restaurant. Understood my ceoliac requirements with no fuss at all. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back.
Room was great and had great views.
Steam room could be hotter, gym need more equipment. Offer some class e.g water aerobics , yoga classes
Beautiful room, fantastic staff, great food. We’ll be back again soon.
Dear Management Team,
Just wanted to say we had a really great stay and thought a few things deserved a mention.
The staff were all friendly and helpful, which made the hotel feel welcoming and relaxe
Dinner was fantastic. Joel’s martini was spot on, and the food was excellent — the beef carpaccio was full of flavour and the halibut perfectly cooked. The children’s menu was great too, with good choice and quality, which made things easier for us as a family.
Service was brilliant all rond. Small things were noticed and sorted quickly, which made a big difference.
Thanks for a lovely stay. Please pass on our thanks to the teams, especially Joel. We’d happily come back and recommend the hotel.
We had a really great stay at the hotel. The food was very good and we enjoyed every meal
All the staff were lovely and very helpful
A special mention to what seemed to be the manager, who was amazing with the children and made them feel very welcome. It really made our stay extra special
We chose this hotel for a Valentine’s getaway and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. The dining experience really impressed us, every course on the tasting menu felt thoughtfully prepared and worth every penny. The team in the restaurant were polished, helpful and happy to explain the dishes, which made the evening even more enjoyable. Beyond that, the hotel felt relaxed and welcoming and our room was fresh, tidy and perfect for a comfortable for the night.
A great experience from start to finish and we’d absolutely stay again!
The hotel and staff are excellent.
Nothing
Great staff, beautiful hotel and grounds
We have visited many times, the last time a few years ago. When we arrived we still loved the charm of the hotel and the room was lovely. That is where is stops, we were surprised that the food and service in the restaurant had declined rapidly. What used to be a beautiful experience was dreadful, no amuse bouche, no warm bread, no offer of water. The starter was tiny and over chilled. The main courses was ok, the pork was definitely over cooked. My husband ordered fish which he enjoyed so we decided to both order fish on night two. The restaurant was much quieter than the previous night so we expected a higher standard. The starter arrived I ordered cauliflower veloute, the bread was good which accompanied it, the veloute was way too hot and had no flavour. Which I did feedback but to no avail. All around us people were sending their food back which meant there was a huge backlog. Everyone in the restaurant was offered complimentary sorbet except us. In the end after waiting more than one hour for main course we left the restaurant. The whole experience was dreadful, they charged us 12.5% service charge on the wine which we had to serve ourselves.
This hotel is fabulous, a beautiful location, friendly staff, superb rooms and facilities. The room we had was outstanding in terms of cleanliness, decor, amenities and comfort. Before our stay the hotel manager rang welcoming us and seeing if we were celebrating a special day. We didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening as we had already made other plans, but breakfast was presented lovely, well cooked, and not too much or too little.
I would highly recommend and would return. Customer service at its best, we were even given a little doggie bag of fruit, protein bars and drink for our journey home. Very rhoughtful.
