Charming hotel with a lot of character. Loved the whirlpool tub and the room in general was lovely. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was convenient for us to get around the city.
If you are into a boutique old style hotel, this one will suit you

2 towels for both of us and 1 facecloth how were we supposed to get ready with no facecloths or towels.
Location was good and free parking readily available. Reception staff always cheerful and helpful. The room was clean and amenities good. Very efficient mini fridge and freezer. Jet tub in bathroom and heated towel rack, which was very useful after we got soaked in the pouring rain one day.
Self-serve style continental breakfast and very plentiful, with fruit and muffins, croissants, yoghurt, etc. This food was also available all day until it was used, which was useful for early departures, snacks etc.

Room was dowdy and bedding unattractive. View of inner courtyard. Harbour view would have been nice. Breakfast room was rather small for a fairly large hotel and got very busy. Unfortunately, I couldn't have read the info fully because I was expecting a lovely cooked breakfast so was disappointed, especially for the price. Some jam would have been nice for the croissants, and maybe a toaster.

Hot tub did not work
Great location in easy walking distance of the centre and lots of restaurants. Can recommend St John’s Fish Exchange and Saltwater. Free parking a bonus. Short drive from the airport.
Limited choice at breakfast. No hot food and porridge was the only cereal available. The first room we had (208) was lovely but the air conditioning unit on the roof above was very noisy and kept us awake most of the night. Staff responded very positively and we moved rooms the next day.
Location was perfect. Nice touch with a coupon for Jack Astor restaurant across the street. Staff was exceptional and helpful. We were able to check in earlier which was so helpful and appreciated. Gorgeous hotel. We will definitely return.
Nothing- we did have a minor issue about a dripping faucet in the bathroom, but it did not affect out stay. We told the front desk. Other than that, everything was perfect!
Location is great if you want the downtown vibes and bar scene. The rooms are converted from a port warehouse so much old fashioned wooden construction is evident. Amenities could include more power plugs, USB jacks, bed lamps, brighter room lighting, towel bars and coat hooks in bathroom, etc. The Otis elevator is old and noisy and should be serviced soon. Improvements could elevate the hotel to higher lever.
