Location was excellent, continental breakfast was nice ( a little short on seating) elevator is convenient and loved the jet tub. The shower was fantastic
The smoking area is not a great or secure location for guests. We found human feces by the garbage, and another time, a street person approached looking for money. Disappointed the restaurant and patio area are not open, but understand the staff shortage issue. Hallways were very dimly lit, making it hard for anyone with vision issues.
Unterkunft wir direkt in der Stadtmitte.
Breakfast was very poor. Pre-wrapped muffins, basic selection of yogourt and fruit juice. Coffee cups rather than fresh brewed. Calling it continental was a really euphemism for something that was very, very basic.
The building is really showing its age. The bath tub / shower had a really high side and had a huge step up into it. This was extremely dangerous, and I'm amazed that this passed a safety inspection. The heavy plastic curtains didn't close properly which was a serious privacy issue given that the bathroom had a full length window right above the courtyard. Given that it's an old, converted building, expect the noise from guests in the room above. This was very noticeable even though they were actually pretty quite.
Rooms are nice and big, continental breakfast had good choices and good coffee.
Our room (319) was right under someone else’s room and they were walking around all night long. The rooms are not soundproof and we did not get much sleep with that person walking around constantly.
It was quiet, bed was comfortable, decent TV, jacuzzi tub, had a fridge
Could have had a second chair other than a desk chair. The shower put more water out the bottom. The continental breakfast was poor. Fruit, yogurt, juice & muffins.
Location and parking
Would be nice if there was a lounge
Staff were friendly and lication is great. The history of the building is fascinating
Breakfast was a bit lacking
Just the location was good .
First and foremost the room they tryed to pawn us was so disgusting. It smelt urine or sewage that we had to run out because we were dry heaving . When we told the front desk they admitted that there was a sewage problem in the hotel really!!! Does the housekeeping not report the place is smelling like urine and sewage. And the continental breakfast really!! No butter no cheese no eggs no cold cuts no jam no peanut butter no toaster no milk no cereal the worst continental breakfast We have ever encountered in our many travels .The pace is old and felt like we were in a dungeon. Oh by the way the picture that shows outside must of been taken when opened. Old looking and sad if you believe the good reviews they are delusional.
The location of the hotel can't be beat. You can walk to many restaurants, museums, shops etc. The harbour is steps away and is also a great place to walk. There was plenty of parking and we felt our vehicle was safe. The hotel is historic and unique in terms of architecture. Breakfast was free and very nice. Muffins, cereal, coffee, juices - serve yourself.
We looked at the breakfast and saw it was prepackaged items that weren't appealing. There are so many really good bakeries around, it would have been lovely if lfresh, local bakery items were featured. We went and got breakfast somewhere else. The location is good because it's close to many downtown sites.
The room was NOT anything close to what was pictured. It was dark and depressing. Because of the roof beams, this was a feature of the room that needed attention. There could have been better lighting and furniture placement to address this. The lighting fixture on the desk looked like it was pulled out of a dumpster. One of the ac outlets was missing leaving a gaping hole. It was dusty and dirty. The shade was completely cracked and broken. There were two of us in the room, so four towels would have been appropriate, but there were only two. They were old, stringy and threadbare. The bed linens seemed clean. The hvac system was old and broken. When we checked out the staff asked how our stay was. When we replied "it was a place to sleep" they did not ask ANY follow up questions and smiled fakely.
Breakfast was minimal but reasonably adequate.
Better lighting as rooms were dull due to the small windows. No real view from the windows.
Great location
The room was very comfortable and clean. It also had a very wonderful ambiance
