Very comfortable stay.
Pros:

The location was ideal for us - we were attending a family party at a nearby golf club. The breakfast was very very good - with plenty of choice.

Was like being in a shared house. For £90 I’d expect a modern room like I’d booked tv worked on and off creaking floors
Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

Was old , noisy, unkempt

Avoid until you know significant improvements beyond decorations
Pros:

The staff were nice.

Cons:

The bed was small. The mattress was terrible and had seen better days. The outside sitting area was noisy and one could not take a rest whilst the bar was open. The glass disposal bins where too close to the rooms at back and side that made things worst. The breakfast was average mainly because the oil used for frying was well past usefulness. The bar staff were inexperienced in mixing a simple gin and tonic or an Aperol and were clearly overworked. Not all the food on the menu was available to eat outside on the hottest weekend of the year.

Pros:

We booked at the royal court hotel and were extremely disappointed that we had to leave due to our experience so called the jacobean at almost 11pm they were extremely helpful and sorted us a room and such short notice so we are very grateful it's wasn't expensive either the room was lovely clean and very comfortable night sleep and the breakfast was absolutely delicious so if are ever back in the area I'm definitely booking back with this hotel

If you don’t mind the noise and a tiny tv this is the place to be.
Pros:

Location good.
First time I stayed.

Cons:

Very dated room with tiny tv!
Stayed above the main lounge bar area so very noisy so difficult to sleep.

Nice comfortable hotel
Pros:

Lovely hotel, reception staff were friendly and the room had clearly just been renovated. The room was spacious and bright. The bed was comfortable, with a variety of pillows. It also had an iron and ironing board and plenty of coat hangers which sometimes are lacking

Cons:

The television relies on the Internet to watch, however then signal was not stable enough to allow this.

Clean, comfy, nice room decor compared to other hotels
Pros:

Think the breakfast was good but ideally lasting until 11, for people with late check out

Cons:

A couple of DIY jobs needed doing around the barn and on the ceiling near the window.
An addition of a toaster/microwave or something like that in some of the rooms, for a wider facility option for guests.
