The hotel is basic. I should be non-smoking but guests smoke and no-one cares. I needed to change room because of smoker next door and I’m allergic. Also rooms are not sound proof. You can hear what your neighbours talk.
Location is good a few steps from drum tower and Muslim street and beautiful mosque.
Staff speaks very limited English but they try to help. Breakfast is ok. Good value. Restaurant and bar selection limited.
You can’t beat the location or price of this hotel, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The shuttle from the airport, however, was sketchy (we were not greeted at the airport in the manner we were told we would be and we were seriously questioning whether the shuttle was legit the whole way there). The hotel claims to have AC, but it’s central AC. We were there in December, when the central AC is apparently turned off. Our rooms were 25C when we got there - WAY too hot! The only way to cool them to a reasonable living temperature was to open the windows to the street noise. While our rooms were theoretically non-smoking, the hotel clearly was not as smoke came into our rooms regularly from the hallway. On they way back to the airport, we paid for the direct shuttle, but they put us on the cheaper one that stopped at all the hotels. While this one was less sketchy, it wasn’t what we had paid for. Knowing what I do now, I would aim for the same location next time, but I might try a different hotel.
We had a great experience at this hotel. The location is perfect for walking to some of the main attractions in the city, to the subway, and to the airport shuttle. The staff was always friendly and the breakfast was very good.
The stay was wonderful. However, the Hotels.com web site cheated me in an ugly way! When I made the booking I used my reward night to book a higher priced night with breakfast for two. However, when I arrived there, the hotel told me that the Hotels.com passed the booking to another web site and booked a reservation without breakfast. My value of the reward night was devalued by the web site's ugly maneuver! I wrote a complaint to Hotels.com but received no reply. This is something we as loyal customer in the past should pay attention to on this web site!
The stay was very good. Staff were very helpful and courteous. The location is excellent and is close to the main tourist attractions and shops. However the dining option was limited but it didn't concern us as there were plenty of eateries nearby. I would stay there again for our next trip to Xian.
Very pleasant stay here with friendly staff. Location is central and excellent with many attractions and eateries. The rooms are clean and housekeeping staff very helpful.
Friendly and helpful staff and clean rooms. Great location in the city centre, within walking distance of the Bell and Drum Towers, as well as the Muslim Street with all its food and souvenir stalls.
Only minor irritation was that there were mosquitos in the room, probably because the window was open. But a screen was put up in the window the next day, so not really a major problem.
Great location about 5min walk to the Drum Tower. In a quiet neighborhood. Very clean. Nice products in the bathroom
Walking distance to everything with the Muslim quarter just minutes away for a great selection of food. The airport bus goes to the Bell Tower Hotel and it’s just a few minutes walk from there. This cost 25 yuan but the hotel can arrange a transfer for 30yuan. English speaking staff and so helpful. The young male staff wrote direction in Chinese for me so I could give it to the bus driver. They also have a card you can take to show people for directions back if you get lost. Really clean and reasonable size rooms. Breakfast was reasonable but at 29yuan it was well worth it as it cost more than that for a coffee
Great location and modern/clean rooms. Easy walk to nearby muslim quarters and bell tower/city walls. Reception staff were very helpful, but mildly challenging exchange as they spoke minimal english.
Hotel location very close to Muslim quarter, bell tower, great Mosque, and subway. Very convenient. The street was not very nice though. Not clean. Local neighborhood feel. The service staff was polite and helpful. Room was adequate. Clean but very small. Hotel provided amenities for our comfort. Very small property. Breakfast had limited options but was inexpensive...so was to be expected.
i really liked this hotel and staff.. the room was modern and nice.. with aircon and air purifier.. great shower and right size.. the area is VERY good right beside the Bell Tower.. excellent place to explore Xian .. also there is a shuttle bus to go to the airport that was on time ( in fact a few minutes earlier ) and very good price
The hotel is newly opened, and located very near to the famous Huimin Street. The hotel room provides the free biscuits and the toiletries are good in quality. We stayed in end of March, the hotel is using the central air-conditioner and they informed that is not the season to on the air-conditioner yet, so guests are required to open the window to get the cold air in. However, the air is not cold enough, so we feel stuffy inside the room.
Very convenient place to access eateries and places of interest.
But difficult for to board or alight taxi as hotel has no drop off point.
Great value for this hotel! Great location. Okay breakfast.
Visited Xi’an with my elderly mom, booked at Campanile for 6 nights. However, whenat the hotel, Front Desk staff, ShanShan advised that she could not find our reservation that I booked through Hotels.com. Fortunately, all were sorted out and were given a room after almost 1/2hr wait.
Our room was clean and spacious enough for the two of us, and housekeepers were polite and friendly, thou one of the morning, we’re woken up by a housekeeper who was eager to clean up our room even when DND sign was hanged outside our door.
It is a NO SMOKING premises, but some inconsiderate guests ignored the policy and smoked in the room.
Thus, a suggestion to Front Desk to advise/remind all guests during check-in that it’s strictly NO SMOKING hotel and seek their compliance/acknowledgement in due respect to the other guests like myself who is intolerant to cigarette smell.
The hotel is walking distant to Drum Tower, Bell Tower, Great Mosque, Muslim Quarter, shopping malls, eateries and Bell Tower MRT Stn.
The Concierge, Neil was so helpful to assist in calling our airport shuttle several times when he was running late for 1/2hr to send us to the airport on departure day.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciate the hospitality received..
Thank you
Nice breakfast, great coffee. Friendly, helpful staff. Location was great, very close to the Bell, and Drum Towers, and Muslim Quarter.
Good hotel but the staff need to learn a bit of English I was surprised the didn’t speak much considering it is a multinational company area is good and close to the bell and drum tower
For an international company you would have thought they could speak better English.
I had a knock on the door to say I hadn’t paid for my stay which I had prepaid for it took 20 minutes to ring Hotels.com to sort it out.
