We have stayed at this location before, mainly for convenience. Whilst the place is spotlessly clean, and lovely and warm, there are some issues that concern us. To start with, there is no security in the place, the swipe facility on the hall door to the bedrooms is broken, when we stayed back in the summer, it was the same. The blinds in the bedrooms are not adequate, you might as well sleep with a light on, we were in Room 7 and had next to no sleep, curtains are needed. Top priority is to make the place safe, anyone could have walked in there.

The room was clean and spacious. Quiet . Easy to find . Parking. Plenty of towels
Really cold , no heating. Only cups and glasses for 2 people even though room for 4. Remote control did not work. Said there was WiFi , there was no passwor/code for it.
Our key card did not work , it had been left on side in entrance. A lady did come out and change it and we would have mentioned the issues but was not aware of them at the time.
I didn't feel completely safe as outside doors were permanently left propped open as not staffed.
The place is close to the Usk Show grounds and convenient to stay the night after the show.
The restaurant working hours changed so we could not grab dinner there, and the restaurant was not open for breakfast (which it should have been according to working hours).
No staff. A repeat of the multiple rooms I booked
I booked three rooms for a party of guests. Perhaps bad luck, but the majority of the facilities were unavailable due to staff sickness, so it all felt somewhat remote. We did not meet a single member of staff during our stay. As I was hosting the evening, my larger suite allowed me to entertain guests, but all my guests felt the rooms were far too hot and uncomfortable as a result.
Sad, because with some clear instructions on radiators, their experience might have been better.
May revisit, but not with guests until I am certain their experience will be better.

Great price for family room considering you get the full size bunk bed compared to other places nearby with sofa bed for similar price.
Very large comfortable room and large bathroom with bath. Plenty of towels.

Great location and beautiful views. Good size family room. But we only had blinds, not curtains, so the room was a bit light considering it’s a family room.

Cleanliness
Lack of security. Anyone off the street could have walked into the bedrooms. The latch of the first security door was missing. The mattress protector crackled every time you moved, therefore got very little sleep. The mattress topper made the bed very hot. Most hotels/b&b at that price would provide minimal toiletteries in the bathroom, e.g.. shower gel. Disappointed that you are not able to provide members of staff for a considerable part of the week. Will not stay again, did not feel safe.

The staff were friendly and the food was great!
Nothing, even when we woke up in the morning and there had been a large amount of rain and the hotel corridor was slightly flooded, the staff went out their way to be extra helpful and made us coffees and bacon sandwiches even though they had a lot of water intake to deal with. Couldn’t fault them thank you so much
