Hotel Jadran

Wonderful stay. Enjoyed the weekend nightlife in town center.

Spent two nights at Hotel Jadran. Walked the steps uphill to Trsat Castle. Walked back down close to 600 steps to the city marina. Walked about the market place and pedestrianized commercial zones. Hotel Jadran has its own access to the Adriatic's Kvarner Bay and a public beach just up the shore. Hotel Jadran has a 3rd floor restaurant/breakfast area with a balcony overlooking the bay. You can see the islands in the bay. Free parking is available at the 4th floor reception level. Fitness center and sauna available too. Very nice place.

Hotel is old and the location is not walking distance from the city center.

Beautiful location with dramatic perch next to the sea. A picturesque public beach was a 5 minute walk. Wonderful breakfast buffet. Not much else in the area but staff were able to order a quick and inexpensive taxi to the downtown.

Incredible view and easy access to sea

Not what was expected other than view. Location is fair at best. No parking or extremely limited parking on street. Limited options at the hotel and basically nothing around the hotel for shopping, restaurants, etc.

The view was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We are so glad we chose Hotel Jadran as our accommodation and would recommend it to anyone. Attentive and friendly staff, all speaking English. We have arrived early and our room was ready 1.5h before the official check-in, which was very pleasant.

Probably the best feature of the hotel is its private beach. A lot of sunbeds, staff goes there regularly, so you can order a drink or something to eat. Bring your snorkeling gear, as you can observer many fishes there. If you're tired of the private beach, public Sablicevo beach is right behind the corner (3 min walk), as well as a big shopping center (5 min). You can get to the city center in about 30min.

Our apartment had a beautiful sea view. There's a dock nearby with industrial ships being un/loaded there, which is interesting to watch. We slept with windows closed and AC usually off and had no troubles sleeping, so don't fear the noise from the dock.

The hotel has a very decent hotel gym with a pull-up bar (130kg max load), a collection of quality hexagon-shaped dumbbells ranging from 2.5kg to 25kg (+2.5kg increases), a rowing machine, a bicycle, and wall bars.

If there's a room for improvement, it would be breakfasts - objectively, they were okay and quite standard, but we expected a little bit more. We were especially not impressed with the taste of pancakes and desserts (they felt very lackluster), but everybody has different taste.

The staff were fantastic, friendly, happy to help in anyway they could. The chef was wonderful, helped me out with my allergies. The location great overlooking the sea . Sitting on the ample sized balcony with a glass of wine in the evening, overlooking the calm seas just so relaxing. Would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic views. No beach access. Limited dining menu, longish walk to town and dining, we took a taxi. Clean sheets and bedrooms.
