An oasis of tranquility. Great value for money. Stay a little longer and unwind.

The grounds are beautiful.
Very good breakfast with plenty of options.

This is a place you go to relax. It’s about 3km outside Kinsale, so if you are out all day sightseeing it is the perfect place to come back to and unwind. If you’re aiming to hit the pubs and restaurants in Kinsale of an evening you will need to plan your transport options carefully — unless you are very familiar with driving Ireland’s country roads after sunset.

Cons:

The only thing we didn’t like is that we didn’t stay long enough.

Honestly, I never expected to find such a beautiful, almost underrated gem in Kinsale! We had such a fantastic experience at Kinsale Hotel & Spa, and I couldn’t recommend it enough, especially for families with children.

The location is fantastic, and the staff are absolutely wonderful! From the reception team to everyone we encountered throughout our stay, every single person was so kind, friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Their hospitality really made our experience extra special.

The family room was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for us. My kids absolutely loved it! I also loved the hotel’s minimalist design. It’s simple, modern, elegant, and beautifully maintained, creating such a relaxing atmosphere for the whole family. Cleanliness was exceptional, from the room to the toilets and all the other facilities, which were beautifully designed and well looked after.

The swimming pool was another highlight! I really appreciated that they had a dedicated space for babies and toddlers, making it such a lovely and family-friendly experience. The changing rooms and showers were also super clean, organised, and well maintained. As a parent, these little details make such a big difference!

And of course, the food at the restaurant was absolutely beautiful! Everything was delicious, and the restaurant staff were just as friendly, kind, and welcoming as the rest of the hotel team.

Overall, we had such a wonderful stay. Kinsale Hotel & Spa exceeded our expectations in every way. From the beautiful surroundings and stylish interiors to the excellent facilities, delicious food, and genuinely lovely staff, everything made us feel comfortable and welcome.

A hidden gem that deserves so much more recognition! We will definitely be recommending this hotel to friends and family, and we would absolutely love to come back again.

Pros:

A beautiful hotel, from start to finish. The receptionist checking us in was so welcoming and nice, the bar and restaurant staff were also very nice, the food was delicious, fabulous views and just so peaceful we loved it. The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. We also used the leisure facilities, again it exceeded our expectations.

Pros:

Room was pretty standard, clean and no complaints.

Cons:

Breakfast was mediocre - selection of food just standard fare. No menu (eggs benedict, omelette, etc) just the usual Irish Breakfast including orange juice (from concentrate)....a few small touches could elevate this.

Receptionist was almost indignant that we'd appeared early for our check in and when asked about transport to/from Kinsale wasn't overly helpful. Neither of the two on the front desk made an particular effort to welcome or assist; felt like we were a hinderance.
