You get what you see - an adequate stay

Convenient, basic no frills
Pros:

Good location. The restaurant is great for a cocktail in the afternoon or coffee or breakfast in the morning.

Cons:

The gym is tiny and weird. It’s a converted hotel room that has limited equipment and no towels. It was uncomfortable to be in there as a female with one other man. We had several issues with room keys, not working and having to be re-issued, but then they needed to be reissued for the whole room and that was a bit chaotic. Several members of our group complained about the noise, that were lots of city sounds that were hard to tune out and worse, hotel staff talking in the hallways beginning at 7 AM. The windows don’t do a great job blocking noise from the streets even from the seventh floor. One afternoon construction started in the room literally next to mine on the wall that shared the headboard of my bed while I was napping and they started hammering that wall and woke me from a dead sleep. Very unpleasant. We ended up having to move rooms because that construction was going on all week and the hotel did nothing too compensate us for the inconvenience. In fact, it was really difficult to get them to find us another room and solve the problem and it was not a quick solution. A few times I asked for a manager to help us resolve issues because staff was a little sluggish and I never found a manager on site, and I find that a little concerning in a hotel in city of this size. Staff was minimal helpful, referring to a pharmacy and securing taxis. The taxi price deferred from the published price on the display in the hotel and what we actually paid, and we paid more of course
