Pros:

The bed mattress needs replacing in one room and the aircon needs fixing
It was so hot we couldn’t sleep
The chairs sink when sitting in them
It’s the second time we have had this room at the Michael Angelo and I tried to pick another room with Expedia and chose the photos of a different room VERY disappointed
I had booked on another site three weeks ago and got this room
I really thought with the different photos it was a different apartment

The Michelangelo Towers is a stunning and immaculate hotel that I truly appreciated, especially its proximity to the Sandton City Mall. The staff were welcoming, and the convenient parking added to the experience. I also loved the spacious rooms, which included two bathrooms. I would wholeheartedly recommend this property to any traveler, and I look forward to staying here again in the future.

I was disappointed with the hotel. The finishing are old and not modern. Furniture is all old wood furniture. The TV are an old set up where the bedroom TV cannot operate separately but are set to the same channel in the living room. Have never seen that before. So basically people in the two bedrooms must watch the same channel. The bath is a badly positioned tub and the water flows out of side of tub and floods floor during every bath. Just terrible. Staff and gym are great but I will never stay there again and at one point I considered leaving in the middle of my stay for another hotel and forfeiting reminder of my payment

We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment which was lovely, very spacious, neat and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed being able to access the shopping centre and restaurants from the hotel, breakfast restaurant was lovely and all staff are super friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back at our next visit

Large room and friendly staff.
When checking out it was raining and the concierge said I could get a complimentary ride to the train station 5 minutes away. Ordinarily, I would walk. On the way the driver twisted my arm for money to take me all the way to the airport. When that didn't work, he demanded payment to drop me at the train station.

Secure, convenient and an upmarket facility.
Cleaning needs to be supervised as there is to some extent lack of detail. The WiFi was very much up and down for two days.

A very good stay
Pros:

I had a great stay in this hotel. It was located directly across from the Convention centre so very convenient. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The airline I flew with lost my luggage and the hotel staff worked tirelessly to locate it. It finally arrived. I don't think it would have been possible without their help.

Our home away from convenient. Easy access to shopping, convenient parking and most of all, with crime in South Africa on the up, very secure from a security point of view.
