Great location and views, but room for improvement in dining and details
Pros:

We recently stayed at the Taormina Park Hotel and had a mixed experience, though the highlights definitely made the trip memorable.

Location: The location is absolutely excellent and serves as the perfect base for exploring Taormina.

The View: We booked a room with a balcony and a sea/volcano view, and it was worth every single penny. Waking up to that scenery was incredible. The room itself was decent and comfortable.

Staff: The hotel staff deserves a special mention—they were incredibly friendly, professional, and welcoming throughout our stay.


Overall, it’s a good hotel with an unbeatable location and amazing views, but a few improvements in housekeeping and the kitchen would easily make it a 5-star experience.

Cons:

Housekeeping: The cleanliness of the bathroom left a bit to be desired, as it didn’t look like it had been thoroughly or deeply cleaned before our arrival.

Breakfast & Food: The breakfast selection was quite basic, and unfortunately, the sweet pastries lacked flavor. We also tried the pizza at the hotel restaurant, but it was very weak and basic—we definitely recommend eating out for lunch and dinner.

(Note: We didn't get a chance to try the swimming pool, so we can't comment on that).

Perfect honeymoon
Pros:

Great location, not to far away from the main streets of Taormina but far enough away that you didn't feel overwhelming. 5 minute walk from the main streets. Right night to a beautiful city park.

Incredible views that blew us away.

The pool was perfect and clean.

The staff were amazing, really friendly and helpful.

The rooms were charming and very clean.

Cons:

No drink making facilities in the room. - tea/coffee

Breakfast had a vast choice of cakes/pastries but not alot of hot food.

Gutes Hotel, schlechter Service.

Der Poolbereich war schön, das Zimmer war schön groß, toller Ausblick.

Cons:

Der Mann an der Rezeption ist ziemlich unfreundlich. Den Empfang hatten wir uns schöner vorgestellt. Er hat uns nichts erklärt, keine Tipps zur Umgebung gegeben. Eine kurze Einweisung beim Check-in wäre gut gewesen. Zum Beispiel wo befindet sich die Bushaltestelle, wie kommen wir zum Strand, wo ist die Altstadt usw. So etwas hat uns einfach gefehlt.
Auch der Check-out war nicht besser.
Frühstück entsprach nicht 4 Sternen. Tische waren nicht eindeckt, man musste nach Besteck fragen. Auch war das Personal beim cocktails mixen nicht sonderlich kompetent. Man hatte das gefühl, die wissen selbst nicht was auf ihrer Karte steht.
Zudem gab es immer wieder Probleme mit dem Fahrstuhl.
Die Zimmer waren sehr altmodisch.
Der Baulärm war sehr lästig.

Pros:

The staff was so helpful on so many areas of our stay, dealing with reservations and luggage. The breakfast is amazing and the entire place has a beautiful view. The pool area is wonderful.

Enjoyed the stay. Pool was very nice. Views were exceptional. Would consider staying there again.

The view from the room and the size. The room was quiet based on the location of where it was in the hotel.

Air conditioning was not adequate for the size of the room and the internet was slow and at times nonfunctional.

Would stay here again if we return.

Beautiful facility and view. A short walk to the main area in Taormina. Pool, parking and breakfast on site. Staff was all very helpful with a few non hotel related issues that arose.

Fantastic location, comfortable room
Pros:

Fantastic location, walking distance to town and all.the bars and restaurants. Staff were very friendly. Comfortable room with great view of Mount Etna. Nice to have the use of a pool.

Breakfast was good but not much choice of fresh fruit.

Wonderful stay at Park Hotel and overall in Taormina.
Pros:

The staff more than exceeded my expectations. My luggage did not arrive with us at the airport. The staff called the airport for us every day and were so helpful to us.
Breakfast was great and a good variety. Great view from our patio, and a beautiful pool. Walking distance to many areas of Taormina

Cons:

They cannot do anything about it, but you have to understand the roads in most of Sicilian towns and cities - if you are driving it is very challenging.

Could do better
Pros:

The best feature of this hotel wss the swimming pool area and the view.
Salvatore the night barman was very friendly and helpful. Maurizio the maintainance man also.

Cons:

The man on reception was quite sullen and reluctantly dealt with issues.
Our air con was largely inaffective. We complained the first evening and through the night it improved but then was tempremental throughout the rest of the stay sometimes working sometimes not.
The lift from the street was also tempremental, sometimes working, sometimes not.
The pool towels offered were tatty.
The decor of the hotel is tired and needs doing up. And the blue plastic vinyl furniture in the bedrooms reminds me of furniture found in psychiatric in patient units in the UK.
The branding of the hotel toiletries is very tacky too. This has the ability to be a grand hotel but they need to decorate it with more style and taste.
