The service. The pool and hottub. The service at breakfast. Noon check out time. Decently priced. Large room. Ability to charge snacks to room. The complimentary coffee and water on entry/exit.

Cons:

We were there for four nights. First three, all we asked for were clean towels and coffee for the room. Our fourth night we asked to have our room cleaned. When we returned to our room that evening it had not been touched! Very disappointing especially with the entire hotel looking like a construction zone due to remodelling. Won't return

Pros:

This hotel is way too expensive for the amenities! There are better places to stay that do not cost as much! Look around at what other hotels offer for less money

Overall, a good choice
Pros:

I stayed at the Garden Inn South Bend for three nights. Overall, it's a solid choice in South Bend. Nothing spectacular, but does the job well.

What I liked:

- The room was very spacious and had a good layout. For 1-2 persons, more than enough space certainly.
- Food at the Bistro was good and priced fairly.
- Staff was very friendly and outgoing overall.

What I liked less:

- Overall, the hotel facilities appear a little outdated. If it'd be more modern, with a more comfy ambiance, it would be a 5/5 for me.
- The room could have used some more lamps or other sources of light. Overall, I felt it was rather dark inside.
- It was freezing cold in the lobby/bistro area.

The facility is beautiful!! Friendly staff and restaurant personnel.the mobility style room was excellent, nice spacing for my husbands wheelchair.

Cons:

The beds sounded like crunching cardboard and were not very comfortable.
