Sir Sam's Inn & Waterspa - Adults Only

I liked the property. It’s perfect for couples retreat. Property is old but price we paid its was good. Loved the view. They should have microvave in room as there is no restaurant near by. I would definitely go back.

Peaceful and beautiful location. Friendly staff. Great bar with pool, fusball, darts, etc. Right on a beautiful lake-perfect for kayaking/canoeing or swimming.

The property is in a beautiful area with the lodge and other rooms in an excellent location overlooking the exterior pool and Eagle Lake. The resort which includes a luxurious spa, provides a quiet, serene environment to escape to for a rejuvenating rest.

We visited this property for one night for our anniversary. The water front and beach are nice and the staff was very friendly. We were not impressed with the restaurant. The pricing was not adequate to what we recieved for dinner. Well over priced. Also I paid extra for the romance package which was supposed to include a bottle of wine and charcuterie board. The board had to meat with it just a bit of cheese and crackers. For a 50 dollar charge I though it would be better.

Absolutely fantastic. Staff are terrific. Love both pools, free boat cruise. Great parking. Going back for sure. Good price.

The room was old and not very clean. Would have expected the room would be very clean.

The spa facilities are really great. I could stay in the spa pool all day!

This property has a lot of potential with historic charm but is old and run down. It is advertised as having 2 pools (indoor and outdoor), a gym, tennis courts and watersports but the reality was the gym was closed due to flooding (but had been converted to storage), the outdoor pool was closed and under repair, the tennis courts were unusable (1 court was destroyed by washout, 2nd court had a net but had large cracks in surface with weeds growing up through it), watersport equipment was limited to 1 SUP, 1 kayak and 1 hobbicraft for the entire property to share (paddles and lifejackets hard to find). Rooms did not have any a/c and the property was severely understaffed. There was only 1 person covering the front desk, bar and dining room.

Beautiful location all year round, very serene. Amazingly friendly staff, and clean rooms. If something doesn't go right, they're super quick to fix it. Highly recommend!

The spa pool was broken and eont be fixed til next week, we werent informed before the stay or upon arrival. They said they left a boicemail, they did not. Noone told us at check in. Fisappointing. The outdoor pool is green and nit in use just like last year. I have photos

Love the Spa pool when the water temp is warm. They were having some temperature issues. We stay here often and this is a rarity. Great getaway.

Our off-season booking gave us a bed and access to the rundown facilities but otherwise we had to ask for everything. It’s painfully rundown and understaffed but the people are so sweet and the location is wonderful. It was more like a glamping experience than a hotel. We saw deer each morning and the most beautiful sunrises but really expected a more fulsome experience.

Nice, quiet resort. The waterspa was excellent, and there were so many things to do (pool table, shuffle board, ping pong, darts, etc). The food at the restaurant was a little expensive but the quality was amazing, and staff throughout our trip were very helpful.

Parking was difficult. Property was not plowed. Check in was not good. I was billed $123 immediately for Hotel “contents and resort fees” then credited the full amount then billed again. Very confusing and somewhat un organized.

While the room was clean, upon arrival our toilet was not flushing. With no phone in the room you need to bring this to attention at the front desk. The issue was fixed after approximately an hour and we were offered complimentary drinks at the bar for the inconvenience. I would have liked to see more fire wood prepared neatly in the room before we arrived as well as kindling and matches.

The bed was incredibly comfortable! The spa pool and sauna were excellent. And the quiet Muskoka atmosphere was exactly what we had hoped to get out of our weekend.

None of the negative comments are reasons we would not return. In fact we look forward to booking our next getaway at Sit Sam's.

It’s aging and needs an upgrade

The photos of the rooms are very deceiving.

Use wet firewood for everyone I found all the firewood that was dry inside the building at least we were able to have a nice fire the last night

We enjoyed the setting along the lake. The views were great. The staff were very helpful. The property feels dated. The rooms could use a reboot and the dining room was very understated. All in all a nice place to stay on a more rustic level.
