The staff was pleasant. We arrived late and the staff was attentive with a polite attitude. The morning staff was very friendly and welcoming

Cons:

The hotel seemed as though it was previously a run down hotel that someone just slapped a coat of paint on to give the appearance of new. The room was only surface clean NOT actual clean. The carpet felt filthy on my feet. The mattress was sub-par at best. We will NOT be returning to this establishment.

The location and the facility.

Cons:

Upon arrival, we weren't able to check in early and we had driven for hours and the room was not ready. We waited until the actual check-in in time @4, but still weren't able to get that particular room.. They did upgrade our room for no extra charge. I just wish he would have done that the hour we arrived early. Overall, it all worked out and we enjoyed our stay.

This may have been one of the cleanest and most comfortable hotels I've stayed at.
Pros:

Front desk staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Our room was just as clean and comfortable as a more luxury hotel. The complimentary breakfast was very good with a variety of fresh bagels and muffins and really good coffee. I would definitely seek out a Spark for my next hotel stay.

Cons:

There was a bit of a smell in the breakfast room. Somewhat of a "low tide" or "fishy" smell. It wasn't that bothersome. I just contributed it to the hotel location at the beach.
