Pros:

Great experience all around. Hats off to Reception Sue and Kim, Grounds Earl, and Bartenders Anna and Ian. All made for a very relaxing peaceful stay. Facilities are top notch as well. Finally, the beach and room view were spectacular. Definitely recommend.

Anniversary trip
Pros:

The facility was very clean and the rooms were very comfortable.Thank you to Earl he is a top notch employee he made my experience much better. The only complaint I have is the state of the art fitness center. I understand the room is a little small,but to not even have a folding bench to use with the dumbells,makes that room unusable for any kind of workout except cardio.

Just arrived home from our 5-night, 6-day stay at ICONA Diamond Beach, and it was truly, 5-STARS outstanding!

From the moment we arrived, Sue, Marge, Kimberly, and Jonathan stood out for their hospitality, warmth, and extra attention to detail. Each of them went above and beyond to ensure my daughter and I felt welcomed. It’s not every day you encounter a team so consistently attentive and personable.

A special thank you also goes to Melissa from housekeeping, who did an outstanding job resetting our room each day. Coming back to a fresh, spotless space added to the overall comfort of our stay.

The hotel itself offers a beautiful beachfront setting, clean and stylish rooms, and a relaxing atmosphere that makes it easy to "vacation." After nearly a week there, it truly felt like a home away from home, and the front desk felt like family.

We cannot wait to return and highly recommend ICONA Diamond Beach to anyone looking for a welcoming, well run beachfront hotel.

The advertised facilities on booking.com and the facilities that were actually available at the hotel were worlds apart.
It was mentioned that the pool would be open from 15th May, but when we went on the 17th May, it was still closed. Mind you the hotel next to this had their pool open. The pool was the main reason we went there. Moreover, there was no lifeguard on duty, no shower outside. Utterly disappointed by the difference in service. I rate this place a negative 10
Just when you thought things can’t get any worse, all the taps in room were only giving brown water the next day. We had to use water bottles to brush our teeth and leave the place even before the checkout time because we were disgusted.

ICONA....THE BEST....BEST ROOMS...BEST TEAM...BEST BEACH...BEST VACATION!!!

Hi! My bestie and I visit every year before the families converge at Icona!! Well..it was earlier than usual...last week ..and while we can have fun in a box, there was nothing....no pool, no tram car, no funnelcake, no sun, no people! Lol! But...as usual....the ICONA staff was on point and amazing. Sue, our cruise director, always at the desk ready to help and answer questions was there and was her usual amazing self! Brandt checked us in and tried to upgrade us seeing as though there were 24 people in the hotel, but our neighbors were breaking every rule....they were partying like it was 1999! The hall constantly smelled like weed.....we told our more than amazing room attendant, Jen, about it and she had already reported it to management. I hope u charged them for a room disinfection!!! Jen treated us like family and treated her rooms like she owned them....with such pride!!! She asked us every morning....what do u need? What can I do for u? SO genuine and helpful! And then there was EARL the Pearl!!! Sue called him and asked him to shuttle us to the beach....as he does year after year, he scooped us up...got us brand new chairs and took us to the best beach in wildwood while regaling us with the stories of what it takes to pull the ICONA together for another season! We watched the palm trees get planted and the tents prepared for an event this past weekend which i am sure was fabulous!! My bestie, Susan Langlois and I, Dawn Maiorano are both small business owners in CT. We know wat it takes to be successful....it is having a great team who works hard and well together. Every business has its issues...making it all look like amazing and easy while working thru those issues is a gift and talent....the ICONA team does just that!! Congratulations on an amazing team and best of luck for a fabulous and successful season! We hope to be able to carve out a few days to come for another bestie trip!!! You rock!
Pros:

WOW! My husband and I haven’t been away alone in over 15 years. We have been raising 5 kids, but now 4 out of 5 are adults so they were on duty. Everything was perfect, but what struck us the most was the spirit of love, joy and hospitality all around the property. Your staff is special. You allowed us to have the perfect weekend away. Thank you!

Resort feel to this spotless hotel
Pros:

Love that they set up chairs and umbrella for you, no need to bring your own. The pool area is nice and they even have a hostess bring a menu and ask if you'd like anything, even drinks which gives a real resort feel to this hotel. Its clean and not overrun with out of control kids not being watched by parents. The inside is spotless. This is well worth the money spent here.

Absolutely amazing, great beach, warm welcome.
Pros:

We didn't experience the breakfast at your hotel.

Cons:

Some kind of sticker on the glass doors going on to the balcony, as it is clear glass & at times was difficult to tell if door was open or shut. If someone with poor eyesight may walk into the door.

We enjoy the shore area pre-season and this trip was fun.
Pros:

The facility is exceptional for "shore hotels" in terms of cleanliness and upkeep. Even beach front properties along the shore can be less than adequate. The Icona has maintained a higher standard since it opened.

Cons:

I had hoped the "fitness room:" would be a little more spacious.

Beachfront Upgrade Without the Overkill
Pros:

We stayed right on Diamond Beach with our kids, and it lands in that “worth it, not perfect” range.

Direct beach access makes the biggest difference. No hauling gear or long walks—just out and onto the sand, which simplifies everything with a family.

The rooms felt clean and updated, with a modern look compared to most places in Wildwood Crest. A little wear in spots, but overall comfortable and functional.

The pool and outdoor areas are well done, though they get busy during peak hours. Service was efficient but not especially personal.

Overall, a solid four-star stay—easy, clean, and a clear step above the average without being over the top.
