Ice machine was not working

This was honestly one of the most disorganized hotel experiences I’ve had. We booked and paid for a room with two queen-size beds because we specifically needed separate beds. However, when we arrived, we were given a room with only one king-size bed. We immediately went to the front desk to explain the issue and asked if they could provide the room type we had actually booked, but the management initially told us they had nothing else available.

We went to the room anyway, but the air conditioning was leaking badly. We returned downstairs and asked if there was any possibility to change rooms because of the issue. The manager then handed us keys to another room, but when we entered, the room was already occupied and full of someone else’s belongings. The management clearly had no idea which rooms were occupied and which were not.

After going back to reception again, the manager suddenly said he had another king-size room available — despite previously saying there was nothing free — but wanted us to pay for this additional room if we wanted separate sleeping arrangements. This made no sense because we had already paid in the first place for a room with two queen beds, specifically to avoid needing an extra room. The reservation mistake was clearly not our fault.

At the same time, another guest at the hotel was also complaining because they apparently gave away or double-booked his room as well. It became obvious very quickly that the management was completely disorganized.

After contacting Booking.com and confirming the double-booking issue, I eventually received a refund. Honestly, the rooms themselves also felt terrible. The hotel did not seem properly clean, everything looked poorly maintained, and the entire property felt overpriced for what it offers.

The only positive thing about this hotel is the location near the London Bridge area. Other than that, the management, organization, cleanliness, and overall experience were beyond disappointing.

The check in process was slow.

Booking.com promised me a refund, but I was still charged for all 5 nights — even though the hotel was so disgusting and unsanitary that I couldn’t stay.

I travel a lot for work, and I have never had to leave a hotel early like that. The room was not clean, the shower was filthy, there was sludge around the base of it, and the entire building smelled absolutely awful. To make it worse, the manager was walking around barefoot at the front desk.

The hotel didn’t care, and now it feels like Booking.com doesn’t care either. I should not have been charged for a stay I couldn’t safely or comfortably complete. This place was completely unacceptable, and the way this situation has been handled is beyond frustrating.

Pets are an extra charge of $15, which I kind of expected. What I did not expect was that the hotel wanted to charge me an extra $8 "service fee" that I do not believe was revealed in their description. I showed him I already paid the "Total amount" listed on my receipt, but he continued to insist. Only when I continued to refuse to pay a dishonest, undisclosed charge did he finally relent. I could not recommend this place. The interaction made me very uncomfortable and cast a negative energy over my stay, depriving me of full enjoyment of my stay.
