Quinta Splendida Wellness & Botanical Garden will contact guests with further information. For guests booking Double or Twin Rooms, Studios and Apartments, please note that the spa is not included in the room rates and has an extra cost of EUR 35,00 per day.

Please also note that guests below 16 years old are not allowed to use the Spa. Please note that the Suite with Spa Access cannot accommodate extra beds.

Massages and holistic therapies are available at the Spa center and the indoor heated pool is included in the spa entrance fee during our Spa center opening hours. The outdoor pool water is at ambient temperature.

The Spa entrance Fee includes the free use of the Spa facilities : bathrobe, slippers, towels, locker, tea, water, indoor pool, ice fountain, jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath, sensation shower, relaxation area and fitness room table tennis, outdoor swimming pool, deck chairs and umbrellas. Treatments are not included.

A beautiful place serving excellent food with fresh ingredients from their own garden
Pros:

Beautiful gardens, very peaceful, easy transport to Funchal, very helpful staff, excellent food. The diner in La Perla was outstanding. A great pity it didn’t attract more customers.

Cons:

Disappointing quality of coffee at breakfast.

Eine tolle Woche in milderen Gefielden
Pros:

Das Hotel befindet sich in einem botanischen Garten, der ganz wunderbar ist mit blühenden Blumen im Januar und vielen Vögeln. Ich hatte eine tolle Aussicht vom Zimmer auf das Meer und einen Sitzplatz vor dem Zimmer mit einer Sonnenliege! Das Essen im Quinta Splendida ist sehr gut und für so viele Gäste mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Das Buffet ist sehr reichhaltig. Auch das Spa habe ich sehr genossen mit einer feinen Lomi-Lomi Massage.

Cons:

Die Autobahn in der Nähe hat man als Hintergrundrauschen schon recht gut gehört.

Un cadre magnifique , du personnel serviable et souriant.

Cons:

Sûrement pas un 4 étoiles, tout est en supplément, le parking 6€/j. La piscine intérieure chauffée, 12,5€. Le peignoir, un supplément. Le buffet nourriture vraiment de qualité passable, le petit déjeuner : du jus à base de concentré !!!, pas du frais, du café soluble le matin, même pas du vrai bon café, une honte. On se retrouve dans un hôtel des années 90( oui oui) à peine rafraîchi, avec les formules repas des grands vieux Tour operator. Un scandale pour 1 4 étoiles, ah oui, mini bar... non frigo vide! Une bouteille d’eau laissé pour un séjour de 3 nuits/4 jours. N’y aller pas

Schönes Hotel, gute Lage, fast nur Deutsche
Pros:

Die Anlage war sehr schön. Das Apartment gut ausgestattet mit tollem Blick.

Cons:

Es war super voll. Essen immer dasselbe und das Personal, bis auf einen jungen Mann, sehr unfreundlich. Der Frühstücksraum war so schlecht organisiert, dass man mit 3-4 Personen kaum einen Platz bekam.

Maravillosa estancia, volveremos.
Pros:

El jardín, la vista desde la habitación, la tranquilidad. Los masajes que contratamos muy buenos y el personal muy atento.

Cons:

Creo que a la parte del spa le vendría bien una reforma y modernizarla. La recepción del spa tiene un espacio enorme e infrautilizado que siempre está vacía mientras que en los vestuarios no caben ni tres personas a la vez.

Beautiful garden setting, not worth the money for what you get
Pros:

The grounds throughout the hotel are gorgeous and well maintained. If you want a place that feels like a jungle, this is the place for you. We got upgraded to a larger room with an ocean view which was amazing. Close to a little cafe with local baked goods and real coffee. Very walk-able to restaurants within the town. Hairdryer came with a diffuser for us curly-haired ladies.

Cons:

First, the included breakfast was not up to par with the rest of the breakfasts I have had in Europe. The coffee came from a machine and tasted awful. If you want real coffee from an espresso maker and barista you have to pay 3.50 euros and that was not good either. They lacked fresh jams/marmalades and the selection was just subpar for the buffet. Wait staff was not friendly. Feels very discount. Then the parking was not free and cost 6 euros and half the time we had to park in some parking garage because it was too full. The spa was nothing special. It has a sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, and a cold plunge, but no view, and did not feel very serene especially since it is not included and have you have to pay 23 euros per person to use it PER DAY. Our room was really okay, the location is too close to the main highway so once outside all you hear is road noise. The shower door needed some grease as it made it this horrible squeak when opening and closing. We had an issue with ants near the coffee machine, there is no conditioner so ladies be prepared to walk up the road to the grocery store. They state that at departure you will get some seedling of a bird of paradise or other plant and I did not receive any when checking out.
