I am a Wyndham Rewards Member, so if there's a Wyndham property at my destination, then that's where I'm staying. I can depend of the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the hotel, and the wonderful beds that allow me a deep sleep! And all I can say about the free breakfast is that the staff works hard to make sure there's plenty of selections and finally, Bacon, Bacon, Bacon, Bacon, BACON!
We recently stayed at the La Quinta in Gainesville on a cross-country trip with our cats. While the hotel was pet-friendly, it was really run down compared to other La Quintas where we’ve stayed. Our room was very spacious but the carpets had all different kind of stains; the two seats at the table were so disgustingly dirty we never sat down; and the leather chair at the desk was ripped in several different places. The furniture and cabinetry in the room was chipped, fading and all marked up. It also looked like it was furnished through a yard sale – nothing seemed to match. Very strange, but there were no vanity lights over the bathroom mirror either. Thankfully, the bed and linens as well as the towels and bathroom seemed very clean. The hotel is a little difficult to get to because of the construction on the frontage road. Additionally, the location of the hotel itself is on the edge of town with the only restaurant nearby really being a Cracker Barrel. When we left early the next morning, the parking lot was half full. On our way out, we passed other hotels with totally full lots. On our next trip through Gainesville, I think we’ll opt for another place to stay until this hotel gets a professional face lift. I will say that Amy was very helpful and super pleasant when I had to call back to find out why there was an additional $75 charged on my credit card (for incidentals which by the way wasn’t explained at check-in like other hotels).
We brought in the New Year at La Quinta in Gainesville, and it was a wonderful experience. Ms. Amy greeted us with her warm smile and friendly personality every time we visited, making us feel truly valued. Ms. Venita consistently served breakfast that was hot, delicious, and cooked to perfection, all while keeping the dining area spotless. She was always attentive, asking if we needed anything or if she could assist us. I tell everyone: if you're staying overnight at the casino, be sure to make your reservation at La Quinta you’ll appreciate the exceptional service and welcoming atmosphere.
This is a very good option for traveling with a large dog (Labrador retriever). Affordable, clean, good breakfast, no issues.
Overall stay was great. Small issues, but can be handled. All the staff was kind, friendly, professional, clean, efficient, and provided great customer service. Including the Breakfast lady and the housekeepers.
Front desk attendant was very pleasant and helpful. Got to our room ready to relax and the TV didn't work. Attendant came to help us twice. Got it working until we changed channels. Never got it to work again. Tried to use the room phone to call the front desk but it wasn't working either. Turned the water on to take a shower. The pull-up knob to turn on the shower was extremely difficult. At least it was quiet and the bed was comfortable.
11/5/25 Stayed in a room that was adequate, however TV and phone didn’t work. The very friendly and accommodating young woman at the desk came up twice but to no avail. The issue seemed to be a very low WiFi signal which was quite apparent because it was difficult to attach my computer and cell phone.
Check in was good had to constantly call down for help with the remote we had wasp we were told manager was coming Manager never showed up waited several hours went down several times to ask and had an excuse every different time had to go down several times because the cards quit working and the chairs were absolutely filthy we had to put towels down when we were there to sit, for the price I paid I would have hoped I got a better room and I seen smaller rooms that looked better condition than the room that we had

Spent more thinking we were getting good hotel. Pool was cloudy with stuff floating . bed was really hard. carpet was damp and made the room smell weird. Front desk people are sweet. Breakfast was great. Not staying here again.
Very filthy hotel
The room was very nice. It had the best blackout curtains we've ever seen. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.
I chose this hotel based on other reviews. The staff was wonderful - super friendly and helpful. The room was nice, decent size bathroom and comfortable in every way except one. The bed was extra extra firm - I’d call it hard. I’m pretty sure our backs will be hurting for a few days. For that reason we more than likely won’t return.
Reservation was unused because customer got lost and stayed somewhere else. Expedia willing to help but La Quinta would not give any sort of refund. I will not ever stay in a La Quinta again.
Accessible room, but with a tub, so not really accessible. Noisy dog in room next door. Overall, it was okay.
Hotel is clean and quiet!
Phone didn’t work and the shade would not close. Switched rooms and phone didn’t work in there either. Carpet in the rooms need replaced with a hard surface. Otherwise a quiet location.
