Bright and friendly reception
Court rooms building was very noisy. We could hear a lot of noise from above, footsteps, creaks, pipes etc plus it sounded like someone was in the hallway cleaning at 7am, lots of movement and banging.
Spotless room with modern clean bathroom. Easy car parking in their own car park. I like the idea of a covered garage for those with a prestige or vintage car (not me). Very nice breakfast with food cooked to order. I had smoked haddock with poached eggs which was excellent. This is a well maintained and properly managed hotel.
TV was a bit complicated for me but not a problem as I went out to the pub to watch football anyway. The single rooms are a trifle small but manageable.
Service and food were excellent
Two washbasins in bathroom a total waste of space. A worktop to set out toiletries would have been really useful.
I liked the easy check in and check out

Luckily I was staying alone but I was given a room in the annexe building belonging to the main hotel and it would not have been suitable for my elderly relatives.
As I was only there one night,visiting someone in the nearby hospital I had bigger things to worry about .
