The property had free parking that was well-lit. Big shower. Great breakfast. Extremely friendly staff.
The bus lane out front was a little hard to figure out at first. The air conditioner was a little loud but the hotel was otherwise quiet.

Unfortunately going through renovations at the time
We had a terrible experience with the management and then Hilton as followup. I rented two rooms for my daughter and me and her 3 dogs. The manager was hostile to us and it took me 15 minutes to talk him down from potentially canceling the reservation. After the night, we were then charged two $150 damage charges for supposedly damage to the bedskirts and two towels. I had not inspected every part of the room or the bathroom, but it generally looked clean and in good shape. . The managed provided pictures of what was supposed to be 1 or 2 bedskirts (that he called sheets, so it was confusing) and then two torn towels (that he increased to 4 when I spoke with Hilton). I would dissuade anyone with a pet staying at this hotel. He clearly made up facts when he changed the original claim of two towels to 4, and the Hilston customer service representatives and supervisor were not helpful at all. All I wanted to do was understand where on the sheets the damage had been) -- turned out it was the bed skirt and come to a compromise; especially now that the manager changed his story from 2 sheets to 4.

5 star experience.......I don't write hotel reviews too often; Wanted to share my recent eight night stay experience here.
My room was phenomenal with high ceilings which made the room feel and seem bigger than it actually was--Not sure all the rooms are like this, however mine was :-)) Almost like a junior suite! Nice small kitchen area with a sink, microwave and small fridge that enabled me to comfortably store and consume meals in the room as needed a few times over the week of my stay. BTW, their are laundry room facilities on the 4th floor which came in handy as well.
In addition, the front desk personnel (Sam, Karol and others) are always there, extremely polite and helpful. Additionally, the housekeeping staff was amazing and very accommodating when, and if needed (even between cleanings of my room).
Plenty of on-site parking in front, near the hotels main entrance (about 8-10 spaces) and in the back of the hotel as well. Lastly, every morning from about 6:00 AM through about 9:00 AM (or 9:30 AM) their is a "help-yourself/self serve" continental breakfast option with plenty of fresh options along with coffee and other beverage choices.
This is a well-run Hilton/Hampton-Inn property, VERY centrally located to the 101 and 405 freeways, generally 10-45 minutes from most restaurants, nightlife and other activities you may be doing or wanting to see. Depending ON TRAFFIC and TIME OF DAY, about 45-75 minutes north of LAX, about 30-45 minutes from the Brentwood/Santa Monica/Venice Beach areas (south/southwest of this hotel's property) and also about 30-45 minutes west/north west of the Hollywood/Universal Studio areas.
Hope this feedback helps..........
Renovation happening which is fine but a warning of this would have been nice as was not ideal , breakfast was not great and the lift felt like it was going to break down the floor on level 3 was up and down so didn’t give us huge confidence in its structure ( staff where very friendly thou )

We love every time that we stay in Sherman Oaks Hampton Inn and Suites. Specifically when we are able to get a suite to stay, because it is comfortable for us that some of us are in a wheelchair and we stay for the surgeries of my kid. She loves to stay at Sherman Oaks Hampton Inn and Suites.
We didn't like that the bathroom in our most recent stay was small and only a tiny glass shower stall.
Perfect place to relax!
Super close to Universal Studios Hollywood. It smelled incredibly clean as soon as we walked into our room, it felt very well kept. The breakfast was really delicious, and the staff was all so kind and attentive. This has definitely become a must stay.
The parking situation was a little difficult, but not a dealbreaker
Extremely friendly staff especially Sam, the exceptional manager and Merva in the breakfast area. They go out of their way to make you comfortable.
