Det var en fantastisk ferie.
Pros:

Rigtig god morgenmad og god beliggenhed med flot udsigt. Dejlig rolig by.

Cons:

Alt var godt. Kan ikke sige noget negativt. Ferien var afslappende og vi nød hver eneste dag.

Room was in mild disrepair, aircon disfunctional, shower handle and doors were at their end of life, the room was tired, which might have been ok if we weren’t paying 200 euro a night

Overall we’ve had a nice stay but things mentionned above could be improved.

The property was nice, clean, the swimming pool was a big plus and the location was very central

Cons:

The property does not have a fitness which was disappointing. Also, we have booked a room for 2 adults and 1 5y old child but we were very surprised being charged 30 additional Eur per day for the additional bed for our child in the room!! The breakfast was good but the same every day.

Kurzurlaub in Stresa
Pros:

Die Lage direkt am Lago Maggiore ist natürlich toll und man erreicht sehr schnell das Zentrum von Stresa.
Der Cappuccino war gut.

Zum Restaurant selber können wir nicht sagen, abends immer auswärts essen waren und da bietet wirklich einiges tolles Restaurants.

Das Pool Personal war sehr nett.
Der Concierge, der die Fahrzeuge in die Tiefgarage stellte, war aber sehr nett.

In Stresa, wenn wir wohl wieder ein paar Euro drauflegen und ins Bristol Grand Hotel, oder in Saals Palma gehen.

Cons:

Das hochgelobte Frühstück war für ein Haus dieser Preisklasse nicht so berauschend. Es gab verschiedene Brotsorten, Marmelade, Käse, Wurst und Cornflakes auch noch Obstbuffet, Süßigkeiten. Aber im großen Ganzen kein Highlight. Zum Restaurant selber können wir nicht sagen, abends immer auswärts essen waren und da bietet wirklich einiges tolles Restaurants. Den Zimmern und der Ausstattung sieht man die vielen Jahre des Gebrauchs an. Für den verlangten Preis hatte ich schon in naher Vergangenheit deutlich tolle Zimmer und schönere Hotels. Das Pool Personal war sehr nett, aber an der Rezeption schafft man es nicht den Gästen zumindest mal Hallo zu sagen.

Good one night stopover, but disappointing dinner, we will go into town if we stay again.
Pros:

Wonderful view. Nice bedroom , close to town centre

Cons:

Food disappointing, only average. Very poor soundproofing . Very noisy party opposite venue, but at least it didn’t go on too late.

Not withstanding the problems of my becoming ill we had a delightful stay in Stresa
Pros:

On the evening before we were due to leave I was taken ill. The hotel called a doctor and the result was my being taken by ambulance to the nearest A&E facility where I was hospitalised for two days. The hotel management and staff were kindness itself to my wife while I was in hospital finding her a room for the extra nights required despite their being heavily booked due to a wedding party. Neither my wife or I speak Italian and the management and staff again went out of their way to support my wife during my hospitalisation and both of us on my discharge from hospital, arranging transfer to Milan airport to catch our reorganised flight home.

Heerlijk Hotel !
Pros:

Centraal gelegen in Stresa. Je loopt zo het centrum in. Er is een fijn zwembad en het ontbijt is goed en uitgebreid. Personeel is supervriendelijk en de obers/bediening zijn echte heren in een pak. Het hotel heeft een bepaalde grandeur. Je voelt je er erg welkom.

Cons:

De inrichting van de kamers is wat oubollig (oud chique) maar dat is persoonlijk
Douche scherm in de badkamer doet niet veel, na het douchen is het al snel een natte boel op de grond.

Die Lage war einfach super und das Personal sehr freundlich.

Cons:

Wir haben schon am Vortag angefragt, ob das Zimmer nicht eher verfügbar ist als erst um 15Uhr. Die Antwort kam prompt und war regulär um 15Uhr. Wenn ein Zimmer schon vorher verfügbar ist, vielleicht.
Wir waren schon um 10-30 Uhr dort und nutzten den Pool bis um 15Uhr da kein Zimmer bereit war.
Als wir um 15Uhr fragten, mussten wir noch mal 30min warten. Noch zu erwähnen, am Pool war es 36grad wenn nicht wärmer! Also nach 5 Stunden hat man da schon mal genug.

Personal war sehr freundlich, Lage war sehr gut, Essen im Hotel war i.O. aber nichts besonderes. Frühstück immer das gleiche bei zwei Wochen langweilig.
