online description of accomodation needs updating
Pros:

The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The bed was comfortable.

Cons:

We had booked a suite and we were very disappointed with the sitting area. In my opinion 4 armchairs and a 2 seater sofa in what had been a bedroom gave the impression of a storage room for unwanted furniture. The TV table was a computor table, an anglepoise lamp was left next to the tea and coffee area and 3 yes 3 electric heaters. A skimpy piece of net curtain at the window finished off the decor. Maybe a visit from 'The Hotel Inspector' is needed.

Would recommend
Pros:

Lovely location. It is easy to get to the park and ride for York. Staff were so nice and friendly. Very clean and well managed, busy but very quiet in our room. Food was good. Given a fan as the weather was so hot.

Cons:

Our room was small.

Pros:

Location good. Food good but restricted menu after a couple of days

Cons:

Manager was rude and unhelpful.
We booked an executive room to be given a disability room told that was the executive room more space. Did not like the idea of using booking dot com...only agreed to credit our additional payment a limited amount in cash, otherwise we would have to go through a lengthy process.
Hotel had a lot of spare space no where really comfy to sit.
Not for us would nit recommend.

Great for what we needed.
Pros:

Our suite was really spacious. Breakfast buffet was OK good you had a choice of eggs, which were cooked lovely and arrived promptly.

Cons:

The breakfast buffet was quite limited.
Could have been more cereal choices, with fresh berries.
They could add crossiants, pastries and muffins. Choices of different coffee's and tea's...

Good value for money.
Pros:

Well priced for what you get. Rooms are average size but perfect for what you need it for. Breakfast had a good amount of options too. So overall for the price, very decent.

Cons:

Little further out from York. But an uber is only about £24 each way, so again, not too bad for the price you are paying.

Pros:

A great place to stay for a weekend. Very good English breakfast. Excellent restaurant serving continental and British cuisine. Free parking. Lovely surroundings for long walks. Short 20 minutes drive to York. Free Parking!!! Great value for money.
