Good location, lots of car parking space. Everything good. However everything very functional, over-efficient and not very cosy. We had our bedroom in the new block and it reminded me of a student Hall of Residence, nothing like the photos suggested of the older block. No interesting decor in Bar or breakfast room, furniture arranged in conference-style mode. Made you not want to linger there. Breakfast tables cleared in efficient Army style fashion, so not too relaxing.
I imagine it's great for big functions but I wouldn't stay there again for a relaxing cosy few days away. Sorry!
As above
洗手間大,有浴缸,酒店四週環境很好
樓上可能住了大肥佬,腳步聲很重
Location good with very pleasant and professional staff. The evening meal ( at an event )was very good and the breakfast was excellent.
The hotel is rather functional and lacking in style. The room was adequate and in need of modernisation. The shower was only just adequate with an unnecessary warning ( a fine of £160!)to shut the door to avoid setting off the fire alarm - perhaps ensuring proper ventilation would help!
Peaceful and spotless, food was good,
Friendly staff,
Too hot in room..we turned the radiator off.
Also shower screens would be a good idea instead of shower curtains.
Horrible location, horrible hotel. Everything is very dated, radiator doesn’t turn off so room too hot, marks on loads of surfaces etc although it is clean. No sockets next to the bed, traditional key style locks, no spy glass or chain on door, crappy telly. I wouldn’t stay here again if I could help it. On the plus side staff are nice and dinner was actually very nice, and reasonably priced, this does not make up for the rest of it, avoid if possible
The location is quite remote with the nearest village about 2 miles away.
The hotel is very dated and in need of a complete overhaul.
The rooms are very basic, no air con & one radiator which is either on ( too hot )
Or off ( cold )
Bathroom is antiquated… razor electrical points, plastic toilet seat, sink took ages to empty. The only good thing about the bathroom was the towels.
Breakfast was 5/10.
You get what you pay for….. cheap price…. Cheap hotel.
Clean and the staff were very helpful
Difficult to know where to start. The bedrooms were superb. So clean and tidy. Obviously recently refurbished. Very comfortable. No complaint.
Breakfast excellent. What a surprise. Hot food on hot plates!. The staff couldn't do enough for us. We stayed for dinner. Only complaint, too big!!
Fabulous food and wonderful service, so much so we changed our minds and stayed in for dinner the second night. Again great. The hotel and the staff were really quite excellent. Won't hesitate to stay again. Allegedly 3 star, no idea why not 4 star. Thank you very much.
We had a relaxing time at Burn Hall Hotel. We found the staff from reception, housekeeping and the restaurant very helpful and welcoming.
The hotel is ideally placed for visiting York, Harrogate & National Trust sites. There are plenty of car parking spaces.
Check-in is 2 pm & definitely no earlier. We ate in the restaurant both nights & the food was plentiful, a good selection, reasonably priced and most importantly we enjoyed the food. The staff were friendly, efficient, approachable and very helpful.
There was a choice of continental & full English breakfast. No pastries or cold meat & cheese, but still enough for us.
Our room was very clean, plenty of tea/coffee and complimentary biscuits 😊 Although the bed is a standard double we found it very comfortable. There is WIFI - which we found good, no issues re disconnecting etc.
Accessibility has been thought out, automatic front doors, a ramp into the restaurant and other areas on the ground floor. There is a lift available but there are plenty of ground floor rooms.
Excellent value for money, we are hoping to stay again very soon.
We appreciated the games room and general accessibility. Staff were accommodating and welcoming in the restaurant
The communal areas 'out of hours' were very cold. I didnt think it was great value for money.
Food was excellent, quality, portion size, great value for money. Staff very friendly, hotel was clean, room was good, a little dated but you can't keep modernising every few years, had everything we needed, beds comfortable, great value for money hotel and would definitely stay again.
Nothing
Good location and value for money
We had a wonderful 3 day stay here. The receptionist was polite, friendly and welcoming. She was very helpful printing out our National Trust vouchers so we could visit nearby Beningbrough.
The room was clean, comfortable and warm. There was plenty of hot water for a bath.
The restaurant staff were so friendly and polite and served us wonderful food both nights of our stay. We could hardly move the portions were so generous and delicious. The breakfast was a great start to our days and a great choice.
The cream tea in the bar was good with yummy warm scones, and the barman friendly and polite. Only teeny moan is that the cream wasn’t clotted.
We had a fab time and would definitely return and recommend to others.
Thankyou
