It was not a bad experience. I might go again. If I go again I will have them keep changing the temperature again to wha
Pros:

It was very pretty. It has a restaurant and a pool. It was in a good location and most of the staff were very nice.

Cons:

You cannot regulate your own heat. We came in and it was freezing. Tried to fix it and found out that you couldn’t do it yourself. Tried to call the front desk but was put on hold for a while. I went down stairs and asked about it. The front desk person changed it but then it was too warm. If I could have regulated it myself I would have just turned off the air. The microwave didn’t work right and I overheated my hot chocolate.

Pros:

The fireplace is my favorite part of the room.

Cons:

The room had too many chairs. It made it sorta cramped. The water pressure was just ok. Bed comfort was just ok. Its fine for a 1 night stay.

Not for me.
Pros:

My favorite part of this stay was leaving.

Cons:

This might be one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It says it’s a 3Star. Maybe when it first opened. I chose it bc it was so close to the municipal airport and I had an early morning flight and we had arrived late having taken a car service from Burlington. The photos at least implied cozy. But the sofa and fireplace are right next to the entrance. It’s not cozy. But that’s nothing compared to the dirty carpet that still had food scraps on it, the pillows looked so dirty I didn’t use them, the sheets looked clean (other than the pillowcases), the carpet was so gross I wore my shoes, the toilet had condensation covering it so it was always wet, (the entire thing.) my daughter showered and the whole bathroom became wet, condensation dripping from the ceiling, the walls were so thin I could hear every noise, cough, sniffle from the nearby rooms, the pool area is noisy and you can hear everything, the bathroom shower wall had a pubic hair half way up the wall, there were cracker bits and debris left along the base of the dresser, the plugs were loose so the chargers wouldn’t stay in without being propped up….Overall, it was just gross.
We arrived pretty late and were leaving at 6am so I just swallowed and disinfected myself once we got to Boston. Never again. There are other options a little further away that are newer and so at least there’s that. If I’d had a car, I’d have slept in it. Now, the front desk person was nice when we checked in. I asked if there was a taxi service to go to the airport. She said they offered a shuttle but it didn’t start until 7am. So, she gave me several business cards of potential car service options, which was so helpful of her. I think if this had happened on a different night, I might request a new room. But this wasn’t a one off. The whole place was dingy dusty musty. They need a full revamp of their cleaning protocols, quality control, and need to put at least a little money into improvements.

Pros:

Nice older, well-kept hotel. The staff was very friendly and informative. The rooms were clean and enjoyed the fireplace and massage chair in the room. the lobby was nice with the wood fireplace which goes on 24-7 and seating area. The free coffee was actually pretty good. The included breakfast buffet was good especially the waffles. The heated pool was nice to use during winter months and did a sleigh ride nearby which we enjoyed. Would definitely come back again.

Inhospitable desk attendant and thin walls
Pros:

Last night was the worst hotel experience I have ever had - I am not exaggerating. After staying at the Fireside inn in West Leb 2-3 nights a month for the last several months, I will not be returning. I have never been as insulted as I was by their front desk staff person as I was last night. This stay, I tried to sleep through a neighbor who left their TV on all night. Whatever they were watching, it was full of low level dialog (could hear that someone was talking but couldn’t really make out what they were saying), intermittent shouting/screaming, occasional horns/screeches, persistent clicking/tapping – the longer I listened the more I thought it sounded like a video game. There was just enough sound coming through the wall to hear it any time the room fan was not on and the sound was random enough to wake me up every time. I tried the friendly wall slap a couple of times but, after a really restless night, I finally gave up just before 4 am and called the desk. In response to my request for help, he made an anemic first phone call 10-15 minutes later. The phone rang three times with no answer (I could hear the phone ringing through wall). I waited a few minutes and since the TV was still on, I called the front desk back. The response I got was basically "There's nothing I can do." I asked him to please try again. A few minutes later he did, allowing the phone to ring longer, but still got no answer and the TV continued. I tried knocking on the wall again but got no response. Finally, just after 4:30 I called the front desk back, desperate to salvage a couple more hours of sleep. I explained that they were likely losing a customer - as you know there are many other options in the area to choose from. An argument resulted. "What would you have me do?" he asked. I suggested they listen to their customer and go knock on the door or at least keep trying. I asked what if the person was in trouble (passed out, OD, in medical distress?). As illogical as it sounds, he didn't want to pound on their door for fear that he might wake them up (I am not kidding). I was floored and incredulously asked why it was ok for my neighbor to keep me awake but not ok to wake them up. There is a noise policy for goodness sake. The front desk person responded, "If there are lots of other options, then leave, there are lots of other customers." This complete lack of empathy and customer care at 4:30 in the morning devolved to a shouting match. I was sworn at, accused of harassing the desk, and it was suggested that waiting until 4 AM to call was somehow my fault, etc. The net result of this thankfully, was the neighbor must have been woken up by the shouting and finally turned off the TV! Fight or flight kicked in and my adrenaline was flowing at this point so, even with quiet, I couldn’t fall back asleep. I was still awake when the neighbor’s alarm went off at 5:30. I could hear a woman talking briefly and THEN THE SAME TV/GAME SOUNDTRACK BEGAN AGAIN. I gave up and left as soon as I could. I've never been so badly treated at a hotel in my life. I cannot stress enough how much I would suggest NO ONE EVER STAY THERE if at all possible.

Pros:

The breakfast was stellar and the room was comfortable

Cons:

My brother and I chose to eat dinner at the restaurant within the hotel, we got chicken broccoli alfredo and chicken parmesan which was sub par at best.
