The room was decent. Having our own pool really was great. The aircon was great.
1) there was no pool cleaning net available to fish the flowers and dirt out of the pool.
2) When we requested water or anything it took > 2-3 follow up calls to see where it was at after approx 45 minutes.
3) there was no shaving kits, toothpaste, etc provided with usual bathroom accessories like other cheaper resorts.
4) the food buffet was fairly basic; again - comparing to cheaper resorts.
5) the staff were semi rude. At the main area where drinks are served, there is like 3 - 4 staff just talking and honestly making it feel really intimidating.
6) I wouldn’t pay what I paid again and stay here. I’ve stayed at the Henan previously, and would prefer and recommend people stay there over Amorita.
7) Secret beach is more like abandoned beach; not worth the walk down the stairs.
8) laundry was exorbitantly more expensive than it needed to be.
9) the Amorita was approximately 6x more expensive than Henan, and you would need to decide if having a private pool was truely worth paying 6x the usual price.
The resort was lovely. Could do with a little polishing up on the check in and information given about resort inclusions etc at this time as was a little unclear. Final Room inspection hadn’t been completed prior to us arriving. Air conditioning wasn’t working properly and we had to move rooms that evening. Quite inconvenient. Next room we moved into has cold water until we advised reception of this in the morning. Very disappointing having been moved into this room and told it was ready.
Nothing
Everything was great. We booked a seaview villa with a pool and the room was just perfect. The breakfast is incredible, the restaurants at the resort are very good (lots of different options and types of cuisine), the spa is incredible, as well as the location (right on the end of Alona beach). The staff was super attentive and helpful all of the time. Definitely recommend and would go back to.
The only minor downside was that the resort does not provide any beach service or umbrella/chairs (they do provide some beach mats though), so if you want to hang out at the beach you will need to find some shade on your own (probably in front of the beach area of other resorts nearby, which isn't really good tbh). Other than that everything was perfect.
The breakfast was excellent — losts of selection and had a long serving time. The staff were friendly and accomodating. We were a large group (18 of us) and we rented a private room for karaoke, which was one of the highlights of the trip. The spa on site was excellent too and very affordable.
It was a wonderful stay. The Staff were wonderful, gracious and very helpful.
There are a lot of excellent extras compared to other resorts.great location, friendly staff, room very clean, great food.
A bit pricey.some requests cant be accomodated.like
Ive requested for twin bed, but they did accept the ground floor request. i already rang for check out but no help arrived for luggages.
The other room when you shower it get muddy and flooded the toilet floors too i think its just bad set up, i hate wet floors aside from its safety.and its even almost twice the price.thats room 310., the room 315 is perfect.the secret cove is not been kept clean.
Great location, amazing staff (particularly Jessa and Levi) as they were always so helpful, and the resort offers lots of free activities
Very spacious and away from the busy beach area. Lots of nature
Clean, friendly staff..good location walking distance to the business of the town …
Not enough Sun loungers
Friendly staff. Good breakfast buffet. Quality in house restaurant options. Wonderful infinnity pools overlooking the sea.
Pathways between accommodation blocks were very uneven and no suitable for a disabled person. Access to the resort is down a poor quality road.
We stayed at a seaview 1 bedroom suite that was lovely and very clean. All the fittings worked as designed.
Shout out to Joan and her colleagues at reception that assisted us over the time of our stay.
Housekeeping was spot on.
We tried all the restaurants on site, The Lost Cow, Tomar and The Saffron.
The breakfast spread was varied with good quality food.
The steaks at the Lost Cow superb and Tomar's tappas was delightful.
Overall an excellent 4D3N stay.
Definitely recommended and a revisit another time when coming to Bohol.
